2025/26 models have a gauge as well..... A bar gauge vs the sweep in the earlier trucks..

.
Yes - just not as much range real estate to show.

I'd love to see a pic of a 60 mph initial coast in each drive mode.
I thought there were only so many dashes or dots given to the gauge - like drivers discover the fuel gauge is actually very few dashes - so seeing differences even there is interesting.
Power meter - seen the pics - really appears like few dashes.

Really no difference, I owned a 2022, 23 and now 26 Maverick Hybrid. The 2025/26 just use a different bar graph format.

I agree the info presented is the same - but I've seen the size of that bar graph.
Are you saying it provides the same range detail for regen as the sweep gauge in the pre-25?
I've only seen pic from marketing material, and it seemed to just be there, not highlighting it or anything. So couldn't see colors.

Would love to see a pic thru the steering wheel to see it's true size in relation.
I mean - this is cropped already, but still, that's easily a detailed range.

2022 Maverick Hybrid was shaking in 55-75 mph range during acceleration due to bad axles. Also the transmission was leaking. I suspect the faulty axles causing the shaking also causing the leaking.

The car in Ford dealer to have transmission rebuilt and resealed with Ford covering 40% since over the 70k warranty limit. Ford recall had the axles replaced free of charge. I got the Maverick back after three months being in the shop for the repairs.

But, now the Maverick feels sluggish accelerating in normal driving mode. Also, when on freeway at 80 mph and letting go the gas to let car coast the car seems to be in lower gear. The car slows down a lot faster without braking than before. Feels a lower gear is always engaged when doing this.

Do I need dealer to reset the software as well since the transmission is overhauled? Lastly, the gas mpg seems to dropped a few mpgs after 4 weeks driving the car since the repairs done.
Do you know where the leak was? Near the Planetary Gear or the regenerative braking Traction Motor?

Also, what drive mode do you typically use (Normal, Sport, Eco, etc)?

Just curious.

Normal mode usually.

Not sure all the mechanical parts, but leak was the seam of the transmission and engine block. Transmission oil seems to be coming from the front end above the seam and slowly dripping down along the seam.

Asked the dealership, they did reset the tables. Ok guess have to drive a few tanks of gas to relearn as the other folks said above. Thank you guys.

Probably all they did - remove it, crack it, new seal.
Unless the shaking really did do some internal damage discovered while cracked open.
Other seals, bearings, gears perhaps.

In which case, feel of new vs broke in tranny.
They put in new parts, which I felt Ford should have cover fully even at 70.2k miles. They did say unlimited miles/2 year warranty for the parts and transmission overhaul job.

The length of the power bar on the 25-26 is shorter than the length of the sweep in the earlier gauges, does it make a difference? If there's 3" of needle movement vs 4" of movement? This is my 3rd Hybrid Maverick, it makes no practical difference to me in driving.

Conversely, there's much more bar length in the newer models for the engine temp and fuel gauge vs the older small sweep gauge. Not necessarily better, just different.

One develops a feel for decell/braking regen pretty quickly, I don't look at that gauge anymore in order to adjust the speed at which I brake, it becomes intuitive.

Since you have a pre-25MY - you have an actual power gauge - with regen area.

While on highway with no one behind you to test the coasting - start with Normal drive mode do the test coast from the same speed each time, then Slippery, then ECO. Then with L pushed.
Then back to Normal with no Low.
Kinda note how far into the green regen it goes each time - will be different amounts.
In case not known - yes you can change drive modes while driving/moving - no harm will occur.

Any difference after you cycle back around to Normal again?

You got 2 new axles, right?
Yes. Experiment. Hopefully you chance on a fix or, at least, more information leading to a solution.

Disconnecting the 12v battery can in itself cause data loss particularly if more than a few days. It's been awhile since I read my manual but as I remember it was mentioned that relearning and gathering data can take quite a few miles. (1000, 1500, ?) Just like when you first took possession. There is no reason to expect it to act like it ever did in the past. My 2022 seems to respond slightly different depending on whether it's started with my wife's phone connected or mine.

Another vote for extended warranty or trade in at 60k miles?
get the extended - it's probably about 2400 since the beginning of month cost increase, with the price of the mav going up every year trading it in at 60K = the difference is far more than just getting the extended. On my '22 that I paid 21K for, i got the extended for $2K, if i was trying to replace it today it would be 30K.

So just to be clear here the Ecvt is covered by the 5 year/60K miles Powertrain warranty correct and is not part of the hybrids 8yr/100K warranty? I've come across quite a few posts about the Ecvt leaking fluid but IIRC most of those posts have been the earlier models (like the OP's 2022). I have a 2025 AWD Hybrid that'll be one year old next month so I'm still debating about whether I'm going to keep it for the long term and if I do if I'll buy the Ford ESP or not. We did buy the Ford ESP on our 23 Ford Escape AWD Hybrid but it was way cheaper as we bought it shortly after buying the Escape.
