Replaced my 2021 Honda Accord hybrid with a 2025 Maverick XLT 2.0 eco. The Accord hybrid was a great commuter car but I needed something with more utility since I retired. Happy so far.
What made You buy the 2.0 EB Maverick over the Hybrid Maverick since Your Accord was a Hybrid?

2012 Civic commuter.

Now I have AWD, a small bed, a turbo, and only 4 mpg less.

2nd Ford, first one I’ve bought new.

It was really a close call for me between the hybrid and Ecoboost. I was driving 300+ miles per week when working. Now it's 100 miles or less. The dealership made a better deal on the Ecoboost. I live in a rural area and my mileage has been 30.5 mpg average so far.

Why is that ?
I work in the middle of nowhere and there’s no EV chargers. My daily round trip is 120 miles. There’s been several times my Tesla came close to not making it home due to weather conditions eating up most of the battery. Whenever I go somewhere, i always have to stop to charge which can take half an hour. Nobody has time for that. I just want to get to my destination without being forced to hang out at sketchy supercharger locations.

GTI with a tune, intake, clutch, etc. I wanted to keep it forever since it was a manual and tons of fun to drive but it had 154,000 miles and it just became too expensive to keep fixing.

30.5 mpg average is great I have seen 32-33 mpg on mine on the little bit of Highway driving I have done with it.

I was next to a Dual Motor Tesla yesterday and damn it was quick when it took off. I think the acceleration on them would be cool but the charging time issues and lack of charging stations is what turns Me off on EV's.
