  1. Hybrid thoughts

Honestly, they probably do! I wonder if it's because they have overstock on some powertrains, or if it's because they can make more coins on hybrids when gas prices are up vs when it's down.
  2. My new Lariat and camper rig up here in Ajax, Ontario.

Little consideration still requires consideration. And at higher speed the consideration becomes more important. And 4 k maximum is just that. Maximum. Meaning no more offer this. Not sure of the disagreement. Sounds more like an echo.
  3. Hybrid thoughts

Hmm.. It's a unique kind of regional thing up here That led me to my hybrid.. I retired my Ranger 3.0 after 20 years of service (and 18mpg) When gas was at $1.30 CAD/l ($4.82 USD/US Gal). Currently it's now $1.83 CAD/L ($6.91 USD/US Gal). I drive anywhere from 2-3000km a month And a few times...
  4. Driver's side window glare

When we would haul overnight in the tractor trailers, what we would do is tape a little strip of cardboard to the instrument shroud. When we had our sterling tractors, there was a carpeted dash pad you could pull out about an inch to help with it. Personally I haven't noticed glare to be an...
  5. PTM'd my rear camera logo yesterday.

Man, that looks so sharp. I dig the tailgate letters as well. Very Nice!
  6. My new Lariat and camper rig up here in Ajax, Ontario.

Don't let the downers get to you.. The Hybrid wont have any issues pulling that wherever you want. With the maverick you wont be anywhere near the limitations of the G class licence and the limits of the truck. There's a lot of folks that think they know how to haul and tow but really don't...
  7. 2029 El Camino to Compete Against Maverick?

I mean, the Chevy montana is a thing in non USA and Canada Markets.. So..
  8. 2029 El Camino to Compete Against Maverick?

Yes, but I still think it would be neat.
  9. 2029 El Camino to Compete Against Maverick?

I like the concept of it, and a little competition is good. I could see it being really useful to some contractors like painters or electricians.. Finishers.. I can see it being a great second vehicle for homeowners, etc. Somehow I don't think GM has the coordination or stones to bring...
  10. Cool features our Mavs should have

No detents? Mine clicks with each position its turned, is that what you mean?
  11. A Tale of Two U-Haul Trailers (Towing Report)

Oh yes, that is true. The lobo has a different gearbox. I know for the tremors they have a clutch based limited slip system in it. How it works is wizardry so far as I know. Lol

  16. A Tale of Two U-Haul Trailers (Towing Report)

Tremors and Lobos are 2k. Im not 100% but I believe it has something to do with the rear differential setup having clutches in it.. (Ok I know its not a differental per se, but you get the jist) It might be suspension too?
  17. Disaster Recovery/Preparedness with a Hybrid but the tests are a Insane

For us up here its pretty simple: Wood stove in the Garage for emergency heat/cooking. 3 Vehicles for charging cell phones / ham radios 2500w Honda generator (for fridge and freezer in season, as required) Boils down to how much comfort you want in the disaster.
  18. Cool features our Mavs should have

I would kind of like stake pockets. They were handy on my ranger when I had to tie a tarp down and the in bed tie downs were buried. (I had D ring things in my stake pockets) Move the washer fluid fill to the front of the truck. Just a little easier to pour into. 60/40 seat I will second that...
  19. Adieu to my Maverick

Sorry to hear about the Maverick, but you gotta do whats right for your family right? And sometimes you just need bigger. I know they share nothing in common but the name, but my ranger gave me 19 years of great service over its 300k life and Im sure this one will give you the same! (If not more!)
  20. (Article) The Feds Plan To Start Diluting Gasoline (E15)This May

Its all been E10 up here for over a decade. Even premium grades but I think they only made the switch about 3 years ago. Honestly the whole ethanol "gonna wrek yer engun" thing is really overrated. Take care of your kit. When its off season, drain the fuel out of it. If you don't have an off...
