Anyone using this e-Bike rack with their Maverick carries (2) e-bikes with a combined weight of 200 lbs with ramp and optional light kit. Finally a solution that addresses what most bike rack manufacturers don’t - 3 points to secure the e-bikes, adjustable tie down points to address different length bikes - I am rethinking of how I will carry my (2) e-bikes even though my bikes are foldable, that comes with concerns and I rather transport them in the locked position.

I have a Thule and a Hollywood bike rack and they really don’t work well with my (2) e-bikes with 20” x 3” tires or align with the bikes holding points or bike length…

That’s great to hear I purchased the Camo Dual E-Bike carrier I am looking forward to installing this bike rack on my Maverick after trying to modify a few other brands to haul my two e-Bikes that didn’t work or fit the application I was hoping for. I would love to see a few photos of this installed if you they are available and you care to share - thank you

My bike is almost 100 pounds, and after experimenting with lifting it into the bed, I decided that wasn't a sustainable strategy.
Ramps cost almost as much as the bike rack, and the short Maverick bed won't actually accommodate the bike.
I may attempt some form of locking it down in the bed with the tailgate open, but I'm not sure that would take less time than installing the bike rack when I need it, and that is super easy to use.

P.S. The upright holder and the ratcheting straps on the wheels allow me to tighten it down very securely.

I got my fat tire e-bike carrier on EBay for less than $200 but don’t remember what the brand name is? It has worked well for me and I’ve hauled these bikes all over Florida and haven’t lost one yet? Lol

Looks great Rick - do you lock the bikes together or to the carrier interested how you do that?

I have a cable lock that I wrap around the bikes and the carrier. Next time I think I will add a winch strap from the carrier to the hitch for extra safety. Once I missed a pin that connects the vertical bar but I stopped in time to avoid a disaster!!

I shopped some of these locally the hitch pin is a specialty item for the bike rack since it screws in verses slip through so no guessing buying from the OEM I recently purchased a anti rattle bracket it was $10 higher than this one the light kit is specific to mount on this bike rack just figured I’d bundle everything from one supplier I did get 15% off - but I agree nothing comes cheap

Good idea I have a few bar type bike locks I think I will use to lock the bikes together and I have a few cables with pad locks I will figure out how to lock them to the rack or eyebolts on my crossbars I’m ready to get this bike rack installed

I always remove the battery and recharge it using the plug in the bed when traveling.
Electric bikes are less valuable without a battery.

I agree Glen my e-bikes requires the bikes to be unlatched and folded to remove the battery’s I’ve found repeatedly folding and unfolding the risk of damaging the battery connectors increases this is why I am looking to carry them unfolded I can charge the batteries through a port on the outside of the bike without removing the battery but in the past I’ve always removed the batteries
