So we we under attack today at the airport. Need help

Someone shot my Model 3 with a .22 on our outerbelt about 3.5 years ago. I had been in my vehicle all of 90 seconds, had just completed a 75 mile bike ride, and was on my way to my house. Got on the on ramp and someone flew up next to me in the shoulder, then braked abruptly, got behind me and fired two shots of which 1 hit the lower plastic lip on the rear bumper. I could smell it immediately in my car.

For a long time I thought I did something wrong but there is a lot of crazy out there and often times behind the wheel of a vehicle. Stay safe!

Wow thats crazy. I did not reach for my .380 with the wife at the wheel. If I were alone I would have had it available in case something like that happened. Asl feel I need a camera to document everything for the LEO'S.

Still an absolute mystery to me that dash cams are not offerred on every vehicle built. I mean, why not? Profit for the automaker. A service for the car buying public. If dashcams were mandatory safety equipment, I wager the roads would be a lot safer. People just behave differently when they know they're being watched. True for all of us.

I agree but when I posted this opinion before I was reminded that “people will be watching”. I don’t think I’m that important.
Maybe my insurance will go up when somebody finds out my collision avoidance or lane departure corrections are being reported.

I bought a voifo A329S front and back camera, and I paid a couple hundred dollars to my local car audio store for installation. They did a great job, and video quality was excellent. I already had to use it.

Only problem with nice dash cams is they sit in the open where potential thieves can see them unless you take them down every time you park in public

I've actually thought about putting a "smile, you're on camera" sticker on my back window, but think there's no sense in advertising that there's camera inside,,,,,,
