With no additional modules needed and remote start active, curious if you have ever tried LOCK>UNLOCK>LOCK on the original remote to try to remote start?

Thanks
yea, it didn't work, that's why i decided to get a key with buttons

To program a new key without FDRS you need 2 keys already programed to the vehicle.
Remove the liner in the bottom of the center console.
You will see a indentation slot to place a key in there, its the back up slot in case the battery goes dead in the fob
.
Keep Foot OFF the brakes for entire procedure

Place the first programed key in the slot & press the start button
Wait 10 seconds & press start button again turning it off.
Within 10 seconds place second key in slot & press start button
Wait 10 seconds & press start button again turning it off.
Within 10 seconds place the unprogrammed key in the slot & press start button
You should see a message on the instrument cluster "Key Programing Successful" & the door locks will cycle
Well I finally got the key fob. Matched the FCC number and frequency.

I tried the 10 second instructions here. Nope.
I tried substituting 5 seconds. Nope.
Was ready to return it but then saw another post talking about three seconds saying 5 is too long.
Counted "thousand one thousand two thousand three" in my normal speaking speed.
Tried to keep each action that far apart.
IT WORKED!!!
Not sure how specific to a 25 AWD Hybrid Lariat this is.

Thank you for that update! I just had the same issue.. 10 secs didn't work; 5 seconds didn't work, but 3 seconds did. 25 Lariat Hybrid :)

I know remote start is available with fordpass but my cell service can be spotty.
Having worked at a dealer I checked to see what the difference between an XLT & Lariat is.
It looks like not much BCM & RFA wise & they both use 434MHz for keys & TPMS

Ford keeps saying you need to install the vehicle security module kit to get remote start with the fob which is BULL because the software is already in the BCM & IPC for Fordpass remote start

I ordered a 434MHZ key with the remote start button from Ali Express ($36 Canadian) & programmed it in using my 2 original keys.
Didn't need any Forscan changes ,once programmed in it just worked exactly like a Lariat!
Only difference with the key is it doesn't have a Ford logo on the back.
Even came with a battery!
A lot less expensive than the security module way

Thank you for the information.
Talking about Key FOB, because it is so bulky and so heavy, I hate to carry this thing in my pocket. Does any one knows a slim version that would work with the Maverick?

This is awesome, good find @Quest. Do you guys think this would work on a 24 XL hybrid?

Not that 25MY frequency - confirm which posts you are reading and what model they are talking. Info and links are there though.

SAME! I had been battling the programming since January. Two fobs purchased from separate vendors. Decided to try again today and it worked when I did the process super fast. "Waiting" and "counting" seems to be the problem here. You just have to do it all as fast as you can and it seems to work.

If you are crafty, you can take the electronics out of the plastic fob case and just carry those. It is as simple as popping it open as if you are replacing the battery in the fob. The circuit board just falls right out of the case.

I would suggest somehow still protecting them from being snapped in half. But all the plastic and buttons are just for looks and some physical protection. You could drop probably 75% of the physical dimensions and 75% of the weight by putting the electronics in something else.

I was under the impression that all the steps had to be completed within 10 seconds
