Forscan removes the seatbelt nanny feature among other annoyances.
That's the only tweak I made with Forscan. Zeroed out 4 memory locations and eliminated all the seatbelt nannies (we ALWAYS buckle anyway). -The tweak was unaffected by the recent update.

Test with locking the 3 rear belts, and have yours buckled - before starting.

See if it's the same. Graphic flashes and is gone.
From reports sounds like it.
Yep .it goes out right away with the rear belts fastened. I'll just continue to shut it off. I can't bring myself to ride around with seatbelts fastened with no one in them . I know it's silly. But I guess it's one of my quirks.😅. Nice to know the info though. Thanks

I know someone with a 25MY said their middle seat had a sensor at least - now I'm wondering if that's a Lariat.
Or just the middle has a sensor.

24 XLT has no wires I can find besides the 3 going to buckles - nothing into the seat.

Never had the middle be able to confirm someone sitting there.
I had a kid sitting in the middle, that when their mom got out they slid over and buckled the side.
Truck thought someone was still in the middle not belted and donged constantly - until I had dad open his door and close it.
Truck thought someone got out, so stopped the complaint. While moving too!

I got these for the back seat, so instant graphic disappear. Perfect fit, and since 1 extra, you can use it for the product stated purpose!

I have a 25MY Lobo and there is a setting for “Rear Occupant Alert”
- Alert Only
- Alert and Horn
- Off
I set mine to off so I don’t know if there are any sensors or not. Have carried 24pk of bottles & kitty litter on seat - no alert with seatbelts unfastened as always.

Can you point to any documentation on how to do this? I'd like to do this on my 25 Hybrid.

Both my Maverick Lariat hybrid AWD and my F-350 Superduty 6.7L SCLB updated at the same time, so I parked both and went for a motorcycle ride. Both my bikes had problems, so that was short lived.

The night before my Galaxy Fold 6 updated to UI 8.0 and it glitched with the Maverick yesterday evening. I lost the connection to the phone and android exited leaving FORD NAV and the phone call that I was on. I turned off the phone WiFi and back on and all was well again.

While booting up the display touch screen response was slow and jerked for some 10 seconds.
This Trip was stuck at zero.

I had an OTA update late last week on my 2025 Maverick Hybrid. Now when I'm playing music, turn off my truck and open the door there's probably a 1 or 2 second delay of the radio playing before the sound turns off. It used to be near instant (assuming the same sensor that detects door ajar also detects to turn off the radio that remains on for a minute or two if the door stays shut.

Anyone else notice wierd things? Am I the only one experiencing this now after the update?

The music issue of playing a few minutes after turning the engine off began in my 2025 XLT several weeks ago. Several days ago it reverted back to the music ending as soon as I stopped the engine.

The center display accessory power shutdown after "key off" seems to be shortened to about 10 minutes. If I'm watching YouTube when this happens and I restore accessory power to the radio, it glitches out for about a minute and YouTube won't function until after I reboot the radio. Hold down power and right arrow. Cycling power and driver's door doesn't fix it. Glitches can be screen freeze or no tactile response, won't connect to phone, phantom phone call in progress, icons missing from screen, flashing from Home to Android and back two or more times, or no sound or sound stuck on whatever audio source that I used last. To prevent this I leave the engine on while I'm enjoying watching YouTube while eating in my truck. After a while the truck warns me it's going to shut off in 30 seconds if I don't press OK. The fuel consumption is negligible if anything. I can forsee future RV towing power struggles so I guess I'll stick with my remote start generator chained into the truck bed.

Because they didn't put weight sensors in the rear seats to know if someone is sitting there.
So need to notify in case there are and they haven't buckled yet.
Or buckle them all - then it won't stick around.

ETA due to next post - appears pre-2025 are on different system.
EETA - actually, 2025 may not be different, next next post.

HOW DOES THE REAR OCCUPANT ALERT SYSTEM WORK

The system monitors when rear doors have been opened and closed to indicate the potential presence of an occupant in the rear seat.
A message displays in the touchscreen and an audible warning sounds when you switch the ignition off after any of the following conditions have been met:
  • A rear door is opened or closed while the ignition is on.
  • You switch the ignition on within 15 minutes of a rear door opening and closing.
  • You switch the ignition on within 15 minutes of the alert having displayed or sounded.
I turned it off. The only one back there is our dog. He will not let you forget he is back there. Usualy he stands on the console and navigates.

As long as he's not commenting on the driving, right?
Or does he say it with his eyes anyway?

I am sorry for the dumb question, how can you tell that you have received an OTA update? Please point me to a thread if that has already been answered a million times.

I think the touchscreen indicates it on the initial startup after the update. Also, the Ford Pass app gives a notification
