I thought I would get the Extended Warranty on my 2022 just in case there were funny problems that would be expensive to fix.
I found out that wearable parts such as belts, hoses and batteries are not covered past the 3 year, 36,000 mile standard warranty.

Based on all of you great peoples posts, I decided to get the AGM battery from China on Amazon.
Great price! Right now $135.00 and free shipping if Prime.
Even though it say's it's not an exact fit, it's because it's AGM and not the factory spec for the hybrid.
It is the exact same size and should fit perfectly. I verified my battery size to the specs.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CM3KNG1H?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

I have had my Hybrid since March 2022 and only have 17,500 miles on it after 3 1/2 years.
The dealer says that is the reason my battery is Not Right, you don't drive enough miles and sorry we can't help you now, your out of warranty.
I have had 4 replacement batteries in the last 3 1/2 years under warranty for some reason, which no one can figure out why, except blame it on not driving enough miles.

I can get on the freeway and go 60 miles at busy times and spend 1 1/2 hours, is that not enough to charge the MotorCrap battery.
I am sick of my truck always being in continuous "Deep Sleep Mode", No Bed Light, No Interior Lights in the dark and is inconvenient hazardous and dangerous.

What happened to the Battery Fix that was suppose to come out by the 2nd quarter of 2025?
Hey FORD, we are all having Battery problems in the Hybrids! Please FIX IT!
We can't figure out a solution here at Ford and I guess everyone is just on their own.

Are the other companies making Hybrids all having the same problem. Dont Drive It Enough?

My Dealer also said that they Do NOT Recommend putting an AGM Battery in the Hybrid, per my Service Advisor. He said that the higher CCA might cause failures and possibly cause modules to fail. I think they don't know WTF they are talking about.

4 batts in 3+ years = they never bothered to find the root cause. I have a 22 and drive relatively sparingly - i put 8k a year on it and it is pretty much all city driving. Except for the occasional 'batter saver' no dome light I have never had any battery fault requiring jumping or replacing or any deterioration in service. If your AGM 'fixed it' that's great else take it to another dealer that can do the proper diagnostics. Yeah that software fix we heard about was going to increase the threshold of a charged battery to a higher level, I haven't gotten that recall either. I also got the extended warranty - yeah I was Ok paying 2.2K for 70k miles and 7 years more.

They say because I am after the 3 year warranty period, they can't do anything anymore battery related.
I have see on some posts say they have gone into programming with Forescan and I think changed the State Of Charge level to a higher percentage.

Not sure if this did anything on the existing MotorCrap battery but could be beneficial after replacing with a new battery. I don't have the knowledge or equipment to do any programming.

My new AGM battery won't be delivered until 2 weeks from now so I will let everyone know what happens after the install. Also have to do the BMS Reset and supposedly wait 12 hours before driving it again. Very stupid in my opinion! What happened to throw in a new battery in and go. The computer is too stupid and takes 12 hours to figure things out, really?
Since when does a computer take 12 hours to figure something out? Ohh, it's a Ford Computer, that explains it.

Followed this up with the battery reset (ignition to "on", high beams 5x, brakes 3x, see flashing light, let truck sit 12 hours.

This is just a stupid thing I am saying right now, You need to Click your heals twice, tilt your head slightly left, put your finger in your left nostril and scream FU Ford. That should fix it!
Sorry I just had to say that for some reason, I am very frustrated with this problem for years!

It is stupid for sure but you have history at the dealer with this prob - just because they couldn't fix it out during those 3 years doesn't mean it shouldn't still be fixed under warranty as you referred it plenty of times but they're too dumb to figure it out.

That's crazy that you've been through all those batteries in such a short amount of time. And I don't know if I'd trust that dealership. From my understanding when you get a new battery from Ford, it comes with a new 3 year 36,000 mile warranty which is different from your truck warranty. Even though the truck itself is out of warranty, the newest battery that they put in should still have been covered.

I have responded to these posts regarding the battery saver mode many times. I have been through the whole process on my 24 Lariat including convincing the dealer to install a FoMoCo AGM (BAGM-H4). They also performed the ACC update and did some other reprogramming and brought in Ford service engineers ALL TO NO AVAIL. Basically they have no idea of the root cause of this problem. When I finally had enough, I filed for a buyback exercising my rights allowed under my state's lemon law. I was careful to start that process within the first year of ownership and keep records. The process works and although they cannot replace my 24, I received FULL reimbursement and I can pursue a new 2025. I'm going to roll the dice one more time because like so many other Maverick owners, I really liked that truck. The moral of the story is that owners of Mavericks that are afflicted with this frustrating issue do not have to tolerate it and waste time, effort and money attempting to fix it themselves. Yes, the buyback process will take a little time but for me, the decision I made was clearly the right path to take.

AGM's suck, tried them and they don't last. What i do with my hybrid is I use a trickle charger when ever its going to sit more than two days and that eliminated the batt problems. Mine often sits for a couple of months before it gets used and with the trickle it starts everytime even if it hesitates to wake up occasionally. Funny how it may do that but it always does wake up if its been on the trickle charger. I am beginning to believe its not the battery but the hybrid bat that is causing this issue.

That's not correct. You only get new warranty when you purchase a battery not when it's replaced under base warranty.
Ford Maverick Deep Sleep and Battery problems are all yours to deal with, once you reach the 3 year Standard Warranty! 20251024_090515

The dealer is supposed to put these labels over the new battery warranty info. I never bothered to do it when I worked at a Ford dealer.

Also have to do the BMS Reset and supposedly wait 12 hours before driving it again.
Where did you hear about waiting for 12 hours? If it's a legit source, I should probably do another reset on the battery I installed a few weeks ago.

On page 355 in the 25 Maverick Manual, it states waiting for 8 hours before driving it.

The manual says 8 hours and I saw 12 hours in a post.
Here it is right out of the 2022 manual on page 311.
Battery Sensor Reset
When you install a new battery, reset the battery sensor by doing the following: 1. Switch the ignition on, and leave the engine off. Note:Complete Steps 2 and 3 within 10 seconds. 2. Flash the high beam headlamps five times, ending with the high beams off. 3. Press and release the brake pedal three times.
After battery replacement, or in some cases after charging the battery with an external charger, the battery management system requires eight hours of vehicle sleep time to relearn the battery state of charge. During this time, your vehicle must remain fully locked with the ignition switched off. Note, Prior to relearning the battery state of charge, the battery management system may temporarily disable some electrical systems.

Thanks! I could have sworn I looked at the procedure in the manual before I changed my battery. But, if I did, I managed to forget by the time I swapped out my battery.
