Order verified by Ford June 23, nothing further. Dealer is small, probably few allocations.
ordered from a small dealer as well. If your dealer has allocations, like mine does, we will just keep getting screwed. Saw many scheduled builds who ordered Aug-November with my exact same build yesterday. Apparently, it seems as though even if small dealers have allocations Ford's just going to ignore them until they fulfill large dealers orders.

Unfortunately, I think you are right.

Yeah, placed order 7/26/21 Lariat, FE, Rapid Red, Luxury Pkg, CoPilot 360. Told by Ford Mavrick CS that my Priority Code is now 2, so that is a plus. Thought I should have a build date in next two weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed.
The Ford Maverick customer service team can't tell what priority you are; I've been told numerous times I'm a priority 2, that there's a "chip" reserved for my build, that I'll be scheduled next week, yada yada yada. They do a wonderful job and some that I've talked to have been so nice, but there job is make you feel better about not having a production date not actually helping get a date.

Good luck, but if you get a scheduled date before me (7/7 same build) I'll dutifully be very upset.

My dealer is a very small one in NJ and I got my build date. So it might be kind of random.

nothing here yet, Did anyone in the Midwest get a date? Michigan here, and I ordered 7/16
Ohio here, it appears the east coast was hit the most from what I see. Maybe the Midwest will be next week!

Wishful thinking. Plenty of orders in the Southwest and California.

Everything about the maverick is about efficiency. It's using existing/iterated platforms/parts, its JIT manufacturing is set up to control costs and build volume, and its shipping is intended to be able to move that volume as quickly/cheaply as possible (to reduce storage/stocking costs). Because the Maverick is offered at such a low cost (cheapest truck, cheapest hybrid), its margins are smaller than more luxury models/brands. Therefore, there is less profit to be had on individual units so they have to make that up in volume. If they did FIFO manufacturing and shipping it would greatly reduce their overall volume, so they'd have to increase the price of the individual units to make up the profit.

Sure, once you start adding options it gets close to a Ranger, but if you start adding options to a Ranger it starts getting closer to an F150 etc etc. That's how pricing strategy works. Destinations fees are standard for the industry, and really has nothing to do with "how" Ford ships (it's more of a marketing/sales thing) other than if they choose to do less efficient shipping they'll likely increase either the base MSRP or the destination fee. They'll get their profit one way or another.
I agree with what you are saying but the problem we all have on this forum and other people who have ordered this truck is Ford did not expect this truck to be such a big hit and thus they cannot produce enough to keep up with the demand. Like other people have said this is going to be just like the Bronco.

When we both have our hybrids, let's meet in Wisconsin (Illinois here) and have a beer and do some fishing!

I'd still argue that if they knew that had to cap builds based on what they have/can get, there's no reason they shouldn't start filling our June/July orders as a priority versus this scatterbrained method of some unicorn lottery system where small town dealers don't get any allocations and Chapman/Long MacArthur/Granger seem to have plenty of allocations. Face it, we aren't getting our hybrids till next summer/fall at this point.
I agree I also ordered from a small dealer and I am in the same boat.

Keep the faith. I ordered a carbonized gray FE hybrid on 7/10/21 and was informed yesterday that my build week is 1/17/22. I am sure you are close behind!
