My dealership simply said nothing is wrong, so they won't be doing anything at this time. Even tried to point them towards other people's experiences.

Take it to another dealer.

Take it to another dealer.
Funny you say that, the first one I tried to take it to had the shop foreman hop in and listen to it.
He claimed it was normal for hybrids.. I immediately called bs because it had started after 6500 miles, not from day one.
I don't really understand their apprehension to fixing the issue, everyone gets paid on warranty claims one way or another.

The service department gets paid from Ford's warranty dept for the parts and labor at "warranty" rates, which is much less than customer pay if they approve the job. Whenever warranty rejects a repair, the service dept eats the job. Being that other dealerships have done the replacement successfully already, it shouldn't be a problem for them. They can always call Ford ahead for approval to avoid that situation. The EBB must be a pain to replace. That's why the bs mechanic blew you out the door. It may be a money losing job. Not a customer oriented mechanic. Blow him away by not going there anymore and letting everyone you know about your experience. I used to work with mechanics like that (notice I don't use the job title of Technician for him), and it angered me tremendously. I'm glad to see they have been moved down and out of the company.
Anyway, yes, go somewhere else. Any repair done there would be rushed and short cutted and of crap quality.

Very fair point, I've been on the tech side of things, never minded doing warranty repairs until they made us flat rate, so I understand some hesitation, but having a warranty repair essentially handed to you on a silver platter and denying that there's any issues is insane. Unfortunately I'm not in a big city anymore so I don't have a ton of options for dealerships nearby.
I appreciate your input though!

I too am experiencing this issue at just at 2000 miles. I got the same response from the dealership stating it is normal and reproduced in another 2025 maverick on the lot. I know it just recently started and was not there for the first 5 months and 2000 miles. It is very annoying. I hope I can get a better resolution to this soon. I have to take it back for some dash rattle that they ordered parts for soon and I will request that they please take another look at the EBB.

Mine is an eco boost and does the same thing now.

Is there a common thread amongst the folks who get the clicks?

How do set or not set your parking brake?

Do you have “brake assist” turned on in your settings?

Does “hill assist” have their own brake settings somewhere?

I’m curious if I should do/not do anything to avoid the dreaded clicks! I’m at 1300 miles on my EB.

….noise is not there if the car is completely off (not even brake lights come on when pedal is pushed).
Odd that your brake lights don’t come on when car is completely off.
Mine do & I assume other’s do also.

Saw this info in a Ranger General Service Bulletin 24-7007.

2024 Ranger - Electric Brake Booster (EBB) - Brake Pedal Noises

Service Instruction
In some cases, EBBs have been incorrectly replaced due to noises that occur during normal operation of the EBB system.
...
Known EBB noises can be grouped into three categories:
• ‘Tick’/’Click’ sounds
• ‘Clunk’ sounds
• ‘Whoosh’, or ‘zip’/’unzip’ sounds

‘Tick’/’Click sounds’
Ticking sounds may be heard from the EBB during EBB initialization from standby and when shutting down. The EBB shuts down if there is no Controller Area Network (CAN) activity for a period of time and awakens when any CAN activity occurs, including when:
• The ignition is switched on
• The brake pedal is applied
• A door is opened
EBB initialization and shutdown operate valves inside the EBB that cause the noises.
These noises are normal and not a cause for EBB replacement.

When ‘tick’/’click’ noises are heard during brake pedal application, perform the following steps to identify the source of the noise and determine the action required:

1. Check if the noise is from the brake pedal or the pedal/EBB push rod joint.
Is the noise coming from the brake pedal or the pedal/EBB push rod joint?
Yes – diagnose and repair the concern. EBB replacement is not required.
No – proceed to the next step.

2. Check if the noise is coming from the EBB.
(1). Position one person in the vehicle and another person listening under the hood, near the EBB.
(2). With the doors and windows closed, ignition ON, engine OFF, transmission in Neutral (N), apply the brake pedal with moderate force.
Can both people hear the tick/click noise?
Yes – the EBB is the noise source. Proceed to the next step.
No – the EBB is not the noise source. Identify the noise source and diagnose and repair the concern.

Are 3 or more ‘tick’/’click’ noises heard with each brake pedal application/release?
Yes – replace the EBB.
No – 1 or 2 clicks is typically normal operation. Replace the EBB if the noise level is significantly louder than heard in like vehicles with similar mileage.

‘Clunk’ sounds
‘Clunk’ sounds will be heard when the brake pedal is released quickly or when the driver’s foot slips off the brake pedal. In these circumstances clunk sounds are normal and the EBB should not be replaced.

‘Whoosh’, or ‘zip’/’unzip’ sounds
‘Whoosh’ or ‘zip’/’unzip’ sounds during brake pedal operation are normal and are the result of complex mechanical interactions within the EBB. The EBB should only be replaced if the noise level is significantly louder than heard in like vehicles with similar mileage.

I can't speak for everyone obviously, but I noticed mine after getting tires and an alignment done.
I'm not gonna blame the shop who did the alignment because in no way should using a brake depressor tool break the EBB.
I do use the parking brake every time I park, but that's an entirely different mechanism (the motors in the real calipers can definitely fail, but you're getting way worse than a little noise from the pedal when that happens)

Just got back from the dealer. It’s the electronic brake booster. They just ordered the part to replace.
Curious how long the dealer had you're vehicle to replace this part? I'm going on 4 days and was just told it wont be ready until next week. Part was in before I dropped it off. Not complaining - they gave me a loaner so it's not impacting my life but was curious if this is par for the course turn around time for this part. Thanks!

Only a few hours. 4 days sounds crazy to me. They just need to replace the booster, program it and bleed the brakes.

Thanks for the reality check. I have the suspicion that my service tech screwed up and didn't put me on the schedule so now they're just trying to squeeze it in between appointments.
