I find it funny that they are with a straight face saying "Since we were able to get a second Maverick to do it, it must be normal". Tell that to all of the recalls and TSBs that come out for issues that are present in more than one truck....

"Hey, I know your CV boots are leaking, but the CV boots on this other Mav are as well. Must be normal!".

Holy faulty logic Batman!

yes they compared my truck with another '25 Tremor. The other truck makes similar noise when parked (shift interlock as they claim) but otherwise quiet when in drive. My truck is clicky all the time whenever brake pedal pressed.
I'm bringing it to another dealer next week.

Did this ever get resolved? Any new info? I just bought 2025 Hybrid XLT, FWD and have 850 miles on it and this stated today. Thanks for your help!

Hi,

Sorry for the delay. I know another user on reddit Maverick sub who had the same issue and managed to convince his dealer to replace the master brake cylinder.
For me though the problem went away just before my scheduled appointment to another dealership (el cajon ford where I bought it). The night before the appointment, I wanted to take a longer video of the issue so I set up a camera and started pumping the brake repeatedly (with much frustration as well) at the exact point where the noise is produced (it's about half way of the brake pedal travel). After a good few minutes of recording, the noise went away. That was in March and it hasn't come back ever since. I'm not recommending anyone to repeat this, I might have broken something ... From what the other reddit user told me, the issue is inside the master brake cylinder and must be replaced entirely.

Ok. Thanks for the response. I will just keep an eye on it and see what happens. Thanks again!

I have a 2025 Maverick and have around 1,100 miles on it and I'm hearing the same clicking sounds. If anyone finds out what the issue is please post in this thread and let us know. If not I'll have it looked at when i get the Oil Changed for the first time.

Some of your comments sound like you are describing this noise in the video.
Currently does NOT happen in RND, only Park.

Which this thread caught my attention, because I really would swear I'd not heard this until just a few days ago, before I saw this thread.
I'm of old school, foot on brake to start vehicle required. Not required on hybrid, but still in habit.
Radio isn't always playing, plenty of times quiet enough to hear this.
Plenty of other times waiting for kiddo somewhere, sitting in Park, running - again habit to put foot on brake, or would press it enough in shifting legs. Now, radio likely going then, but not that loud, I should have heard this.
Just saying - I don't think it was there, since very noticeable.
I'm sure I'd have heard it when testing the cold weather start shimmy and neutral since brake press required to shift.

I'll check mine today but I think it does it in RND. I watched Your Video that is different than the Noise I'm hearing.

I don't know if i watched this Video before but that's the same noise mine is making.
Hello,
Got the truck a few weeks ago, now 600 miles in a weird clicking noise developed when I release the brake pedal. I don't think the noise was there when I drove the truck off the lot but I can't be 100% sure. Please see attached video I took with phone on the floor and camera facing the pedal assembly. It sounds like some where needs some extra grease but I can't pinpoint the source. I listened from under the hood with somebody pressing the pedal inside and I can hear it faintly.
Any hints or things to try myself before I take it in ?

Ya - different noise than OP video.

But a few comments said clicks, maybe it's those clicks along with noise/clicks by brake pedal specific area.

Ford uses a plastic insert in the brake hinge, and lots of Fords have a clicking sound coming from a damaged plastic insert. Its a very easy and cheap fix, but you need the insert from the dealer parts dept.
