I have just short of 29k miles on mine and the rear tires have an easy 20k left. The front have maybe another 10k. If I had bothered to rotate them I'm confident I'd have been able to get an easy 45-50k or more out of the set.

People who have a poor experience with a product are understandably more vocal than those who don't. I haven't yet decided what the next set of tires will be, but the Continentals are an option, and rotating them will not be optional! LOL
Exactly.....I think the Continentals get a bad rap because a friend of a friend's dad told them they are "Bad" tires. It's just NOT true. I will take mine to 45-50 and then get some BFG Trail Terrains.....but the Continentals are not as bad as some would "Like" them to be. IMHO........

I replaced my Michelin Primacy at 35k miles with Continental True Contact Tour 54. They are 80k tires at $175@ 100H in 225x60 R18 The 235x60 R18 103H at $215 per tire. In my 225's I am running at exactly correct mph (dash vs gps) with 38psi. The 235's are about 3lbs heavier and 29.1" diameter and have heavier load rating. I am thinking I may go with the 235's on my hybrid XLT when I replace the Conti's.

Mine are still decent, about 30k Kilometers on them. I bought winter tires and rims for its second winter. Might get another spring summer and fall out of the stock set.

I got my 2022 XLT Hybrid in Oct 2022. I now have 42000 odometer miles and I have flat towed it another 15k miles for a total of 57k road miles. I expect to make it to the end of this year and then will probably go with Michelin Defenders.
No real complaints with the Conti’s but I have always been a Michelin tire person, gotta to love the truck!!!
Do you have any experience with the Michelin Defenders? I've heard good things about them and they are on my list of options for our 2023 Ford Esaape AWD Hybrid. The Escape came with Michelin Primacy (I think) and they have been fine. I have a 25 Mav AWD Hybrid so hopefully the Conti's that came with it last me a good while. Looking around and man tires ain't cheap these days:(

Put the Defenders of wife's 2017 crv. They will dry rot before the 80k warranty. They perform well. May go with the Cross Climate on the Maverick when the time comes. You can get both at Costco.

The Conti true contact tour 54 Eco plus have a heat sensitive polymer in the tread compound and are optimized for maintaining good road
contact and long term tread wear. Will have to see how they handle dry rot. Keep in mind that a lot of tires have a heat sensitive strip in the sidewall which if driven with low tire pressure will crack and look like dry rot when the sidewalk gets hotter than a certain amount. Can happen in a short distance and will void the warranty.

Are you on the west side of VA? Because east of Charlottesville I see no reason for "winter" tires. I drove in 24" of snow in the valley with a 2 wd F150 and Bridgestone OEM duelers with no issues. Where I live in Va there isn't enough snow to need winter tires. Near the Appalachians or the valley sure I can see the need.

Guess I'm a little hard on tires, ( I like exercising the turbo getting up to speed) at about 12K the fronts were down to 2/32, the rear was still at 7/32, I didn't bother rotating because shortly after I purchased my Maverick I found a set of steelies take offs for winter use, so I had 4 new tires to use, replaced the front 2 & should have enough tires for 5 or 6 years. I've never got more than 30K out of a set of any tires in my life, but since it takes me 4 or 5 years to get that mileage, doesn't cost me anymore than the average person.

I've put a lot of miles on my Maverick ever since I got it. My factory Continental's lasted just under 25k miles. The Nokian's I replaced them with are still going strong in almost as many miles, and they're way better in ice and snow.

totally depends on your driving style and conditions.
Some people get to 70k, others only get 10k before they "need" to replace them. On my vehicles, I tend to get to the stated mileage before I feel like I need to replace tires. Sometimes tens of thousands of miles more (siped Toyo tires on my Transit(not Connect)).

I think I'd reasonably expect 50k miles on the stock Contis before they get down to the wear marks.

Tip: If you want replacement tires cheap, there are always new owners who immediately take off the stock tires and put on monster truck tires, and have the old ones with less than 1k miles for sale for cheap or free.

Tires of same make and model can vary from batch to batch too.
They are not as consistent as we'd all like.

Hence, make sure you get a tread-life warranty.

I drive less than 5K per year, so I may replace my OEM tires due to age as much as tread wear.

Curious what Nokian's you put on your Mav hybrid? Did you notice any difference in fuel economy after switching from the factory Conti's?
