I am just curious on what owners with the Continental ProContact TX tires are getting for mileage, they are rates at 65000

42,000 when my one tire got to 2/32".

Three were at 3/32" when I traded them in.

I did substantial towing and hauling.
( 8,500 to 9,000 of the miles )
And about 50/50 city highway overall.

25k or less for the aggressive driver, 45k+ for hypermilers. I plan on getting 5 summers out of them or 45-50k. Winter tires for the winter. The gas mileage is quite good. I do believe a retail version would be a good replacement tire, but I could be wrong.

If these are the standard tires that came on our 23 we have 33,000 on and lots of tread left.

Read up on how much wet road stopping distances increase with tire wear.
I always replace tires no later than 4/32 long before the wear bar touches the road.

Then again I can feel the loss of wet weather traction as my tires pass beneath 5/32’nds

My tire depth gage like all of them has a green, yellow and red zone. I never ride them very far into the yellow zone.
My stock Michelins will come off at about 11,000 miles. I’m at 9,000 now and just outside the yellow zone with 7/32 tread depth. They are hydroplaning more now.

Besides that my Ford dealer always does a Black Friday sale.
Buy three get one free or $150 rebate.
November is closing in fast.

I got my 2022 XLT Hybrid in Oct 2022. I now have 42000 odometer miles and I have flat towed it another 15k miles for a total of 57k road miles. I expect to make it to the end of this year and then will probably go with Michelin Defenders.
No real complaints with the Conti’s but I have always been a Michelin tire person, gotta to love the truck!!!

If these are what on my new 25, I am not enthused. Had Michelin on my 22. Do not know about tire wear, but road noise is considerably louder!!!(n)

Be sure you are comparing apples to apples. Aftermarket specs are not usually the same as the OEM check actual tire tread wear on tire. OEM usually 45k miles
I haven't checked my conti's but my michelins on my lariat were 45k.
I had tires rotated on my procontact tx done at 4964 miles (2022 hybrid XLT) annual oil change and quick lane reported tread at >6 so assume was less than 7, but who knows.

I have just short of 29k miles on mine and the rear tires have an easy 20k left. The front have maybe another 10k. If I had bothered to rotate them I'm confident I'd have been able to get an easy 45-50k or more out of the set.

People who have a poor experience with a product are understandably more vocal than those who don't. I haven't yet decided what the next set of tires will be, but the Continentals are an option, and rotating them will not be optional! LOL

Considering the aftermarket spec is 8/32, and it may be greater than that so they are never found with less, I'd bet OEM came with an intended 6/32, with a tad more so never found short on quality checks (almost laughed typing that).

Then again - with your hot rodding it during that initial 5K...

If you hydroplane at 7/32" you are driving too fast... for any tire.
55 mph straight open four lane highway. All traffic is going that fast. I’ll be damned if I’m going to be the rolling road block.
And get hit !

No I’ll get better tires me thinks.

We had 34k on our factory tires and they probably had a good 10k miles left, but we replaced them after a puncture too close to the shoulder for long term reliability. I was glad to have them swapped out though due to very poor ice/snow performance, went with some CrossClimates which I hope will be better.
