I already compiled a list on this thread of $50k pickups, cuz that's what the author of the thread posted as the Maverick purchase price. do I need to do one for every $5k increment?Alright. You said it not me.
Show me a 35k ‘better equipped pick-up with better materials’ Bill.
How about just show me another 35k pick up of any style.

But, at $35k the Hyundai, although not as "pickup" as the Mav, has much better materials and is better equipped than the Mav at same price point. I looked at one. People act like I'm criticising Ford, which may be their cult favorite deity, but I'm actually defending the base model Mav as "the best deal going". Once you start stacking on trims and options to the base model, with the additional $5k, $10k, $15k, even $20-25k, the comparative value to other makes and models diminishes. Not to mention the ability/inability to add effective aftermarket features such as a working lift, taller tires, custom suspension, etc. that you can do on frame/body construction vs a unibody. Tacoma and Ranger would be the entry into that world. (key word is "effective", which is different than "looks")
Also, I saw someone post about XLT Mav now being $35k+ without many options, so I guess tariffs have taken hold, which is a little early since I think anything already in the country on the lot would be exempt. That creates a whole new playing field of consumer prices. What used to be "expensive" may now be "affordable" by comparison. But the quality of materials in the Mav stays the same, despite the price jump.
