  1. AC stopped working

No noises Or codes. It just would not get cold. It was covered under warranty. I only had about 4000 miles or so when it quit. I bought it brand new as a 2025.
  2. 2022 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid 3+ Year Owner Review

Yes, around town, being easy and driving it like a Hybrid I can average about 39-45mpg. But I’m disappointed with the highway mileage. I just hit a little over 3000 miles, so maybe it still needs to loosen up more. You hit the nail on the head with the rearview mirror. Upgrading to the luxury...
  3. 2022 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid 3+ Year Owner Review

Mr. Icegradner! You wrote an excellent review. I would have to agree with 99% of your review. I have a 2025 Ford Maverick XLT 2wd Hybrid. I spec’d it out and ordered it. I didn’t drive it much at first and owned it for seven months and 1600mi when the A/C compressor crapped out. The compressor...
  4. Ford Needs to Give the Ford Maverick XLT the Adaptive Cruise Control

It is standard for Honda and Toyota.
  5. 300HP Ford Maverick 300T Project Vehicle previews turbo upgrade option for customers!

It would be nice if Ford had a Dealer installed package deal that had a set price and a warranty. That would make owners more confident in the upgrade. Not everyone has time or knowledge of mechanics to do the upgrade at home. There are plenty of people wanting to customize their vehicles! I...
  6. Summer 2500mi/50mpg Club

With highway and city driving I usually average between 37-39mpg. If I stay in the city and urban driving I can average 45mpg. I have a 2wd 2025 XLT WITH 1900mi on it. At what mileage did everyone notice an increase in their fuel mile per gallon?
  7. Truck is great, Ford's software is holding it back

I agree with you on the seatbelt warning. I document my fueling on every vehicle I own. This way, when you start losing fuel mileage, you can start addressing it. Don’t get me started on the adaptive cruise problem. On an XLT package, upgrading to premium and paying the $760 for upgraded...
  8. Not going to upgrade my 2022 Ford Maverick XL

I hope you have more good years out of your Maverick. My 2025 XLT is averaging about 38mpg overall. It’s breaking in slowly. Due to my health I have not been able to drive it as much as I would like to. It really needs a couple of long trips!
  9. Motorcraft 5W-30 Full Synthetic

Yes! Use Quaker State or Pennzoil full synthetic oil. Mobil1 is okay, but the others are a better oil!
  10. 2.5L Hybrid - Change to 5W-30 oil

I thought you wrote up a great reply. I switched my 2020 Ford transit connect 2.0l non turbo at 80,000mi to 5w30. My fuel mileage actually went from 28.5mpg to 30.0mpg. This is after 20,000mi of checking it. I’m a big fan of 5w30 full synthetic oil.
  11. Ecoboost oil, 5W-30 or 0-W30?

The only reason manufacturers are recommending lower viscosity oils, is simply because lower weight oils require less horsepower to run through the system. Less horsepower means lower fuel consumption. Lower fuel consumption means less emissions. I don’t care if the manufacturer says use 0W 20...
  12. 2025 Maverick Lobo Cat-Back Exhaust Comparison

My 2024 Honda Accord EXL Hybrid when driven in sport mode would pipe in ICE sound when driven hard. It sounded good inside the car. BMW electric cars do the same thing!
  13. MRT Exhaust (Sport Touring), Catback [Muffled] on 2025 Maverick Lobo - sound comparison clip

Have you checked fuel mileage on a trip to see if there were any gains?
  14. Ecoboost oil, 5W-30 or 0-W30?

Go find the rat540 forum on oil. 5w30 Full Synthetic would be the lowest weight oil I would use. My 2020 Ford Transit Connect non ecoboost 2.0l has 105,000mi and the last 30,000mi has averaged over 30.0mpg. 30,000mi ago I switched from 5w20 full Syn to 5w30 full synthetic. My new Maverick...
  15. Ford Needs to Give the Ford Maverick XLT the Adaptive Cruise Control

If it was standard equipment included in “Safety Features” it wouldn’t be a give away would it? Oh wait, they would go out of business! Lol! Honda and Toyota ain’t out of business supposedly giving it away. Oh wait, you’re an economics major! Lol!
  16. Ford Needs to Give the Ford Maverick XLT the Adaptive Cruise Control

The Long McArthur videos on YouTube gave me more information than the Ford website did when it comes to ordering. He produced some pretty good videos on the Ford maverick. If all the major imports have adaptive cruise standard, why can’t Ford give it to you on upgraded models besides the lariat?
  17. About the Adaptive Cruise Control in the Maverick...

I spent the extra money (approx $760) I think to get the upgraded CoPilot 360 in my 2025 XLT. At my age blind spot monitoring is almost a must. One would assume that when you upgrade everything, you should get the adaptive cruise control. But Ford boned everyone and you still don’t get it. The...
  18. Ford Needs to Give the Ford Maverick XLT the Adaptive Cruise Control

One touch up and down should be standard on all Mavericks. More of a safety feature than not. How expensive could that be to put it on everything instead of just select vehicles? My 2020 Honda civic had adaptive cruise control and lane, correct and braking. I wanted Blindspot monitoring on my...
  19. AC stopped working

My a/c compressor went out at approximately 1050mi. Took it in 1.5wks ago. No word when the new compressor will arrive. Automated answering systems at dealerships is a bunch of crap. You can leave a message, but you rarely get an answer until you get a hold of someone in person. I hope the air...
  20. iOS 26 brings big changes to 13" screen

I have not messed with my screen that much. I do have an iPhone. How do I get my screen to look like that? Do I have to sync my apps and my phone to the Maverick?
