I missed that part. I apologize for the oversight.
I also posted the fact that countries around the world all agreed to have only RED brake lights.
Then, I just gave up. It was like beating my head against the wall. I didn't feel like going any more rounds.
I said screw it and I started deleting posts. Some of my deleted posts may be still up because they were quoted.
I'm tired of folks who have an agenda. And will badmouth something without knowing anything about it or they don't like the company or where it's made.

Just remember that if you get into an accident where you are rear ended and these taillights are not DOT approved, you are going to bear partial responsibility for the accident. Right now there are states issuing citations for people using aftermarket LED bulbs for headlights. Lens covers and anything that blacks out the DOT approved lighting is prohibited.
I don’t care what you do to your vehicle, just accept responsibility when the consequences are placed upon you. I’m sure there is fine print in the brochure when you get these lights that they are for off-road use or non-highway use. Just like aftermarket headlight bulbs there is usually a disclaimer. If you have blacked out tail lights and someone rearends you, don’t blame them.

As long as blacked out tail lights meet certain illumination standards. California Code, Vehicle Code - VEH § 24600
I cited California because they have some of the strictest standards.
California is 500 ft some states may have a 1000 ft. How many lumens at that distance I have no idea.
In California, smoked taillights must meet certain requirements in order to comply with state laws. The taillights must emit red light, be clearly visible from a distance of at least 500 feet, and comply with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).
Mabett states their taillights comply with FMVSS 108

Say what you will! Illumination standards and DOT Approved are two different things. If you have a bad battery, or an alternator, that is not working properly, you will not have illumination at the proper level.
Having been a claims examiner for a major trucking company, I would say let the court decide what the DOT manual says.

Sorry, not a big fan of the blacked out look and I think the OEM lights are fine. Seems manufacturers are trying to outdo themselves over the lighting systems with more functions than one would see at a disco in Monaco. Backup lights seem minimal. When I'm backing up at night, I want good visibility. If I'm backing up during daylight, I want people to be aware of me. The original lighting does that exceptionally well. Having said all that, I'm glad to see Mabett continue to market Maverick modifications and accessories.

Do these work if you have the Co-Pilot 360 with the BLISS? I like them but if they dont work with BLISS then I wont get them.

Can we please stop smoking every aftermarket taillight lens?? It looks so ghetto, it would be significantly more appealing and aesthetically pleasing with a regular clear lens.
Smoke the LED diffuser elements themselves or make them plain white if you want a colorless look.

Maverick blindspot sensors are behind the bumper because the bumper is plastic. The full sized trucks have metal bumpers so they’re forced to implement them into the taillights.

Are the brake lights amber? They don't look red.
