I wonder if anyone has seen any testing on low noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels. The first thing I noticed when I got on the Freeway the first day I picked up my Mav was how loud it was. I am not talking about the engine. You can barely hear that, but the actual noise of the tires on the road and wind noise on the windshield. I own several cars that are 2011 and newer, and the maverick is the loudest by far. And all the other vehicles have class E M&S tires that should be louder. Maybe due to being closer to the ground than the other cars I drive. I had a 2016 Tesla Model X, and I know it is an electric motor, but the inside of that car was as quiet as they come, probably a lot more aerodynamic and Dynamat throughout...

I agree with what you said. Tested drive a Lariat 2.0 with FX4 package, the road noise is quite noticeable, wind noise is just okay, the the engine is roaring whenever I hit the pedal. I guess this is what we get for the price.

Nice flex re the tesla. Are you seriously comparing a high end luxury electric to a cheap pickup truck?

There basically isn't much noise dampening in the mav. If you watch vids of people taking off door panels there is none. None under the hood either. That's what you get for a sub $20k vehicle. Amazon carries self adhesive sound dampening sheets if it's important. I am thinking about doing that if it feels too noisy but other people's reviews say it's fine. Will have to wait and see.

Lol yeah no doubt.....comparing a $85,000 plus vehicle to the Maverick is not exactly fair. Sounds like the OP needs to keep his expectations in check.

Anyway, our Mav is replacing a 2009 Pontiac Vibe so I'm hoping it has less cabin and road noise than an entry level hatch back from 2009.

I think the Maverick would have to be atrociously loud to bother me. It does sound like some of this has to do with tires from FX4 package.

Our G70 is much quieter than our Forte GT, both running Pilot 4S summer tires. Even so, the Forte is not objectionable and I have a feeling the Maverick (which will replace the Forte) will be quieter.

Dude - you just compared a $90k (base price) luxury electric vehicle with the cheapest vehicle Ford sells.....

No wonder you're disappointed....

That's like complaining that a hamburger doesn't taste like a filet. Not the ground beef's fault. Gotta temper the expectations a tad.

My Mav is replacing a 2008 Audi A4. Not worried at all about noise. Just glad to have a truck that has a usb plug. Hahahaha.

As I recall, the Lariat Lux package has a heavier windscreen. Maybe that helps. I haven't seen any underwood adding i any of the photos. Possible factor...

Compared to what? Your 2019 F-150 or your 2018 Mustang GT?
Both of those have the "sound screen" glass, so I guess you could say yes. But both also are loud with aftermarket exhaust lol.

Since I don't have access to another Maverick to compare to, I can only compare to other vehicles I've driven. Our Maverick is not loud to us at all. We can hold a conversation without having to raise our voices in the least.

Ours isn't even a lux.
