    We had a 2018 Escape with the 1.5EB. at 16k it was leaking coolant into one of the cylinders and throwing a CEL and getting a misfire. Ford could not get a replacement engine for over two months. We ended up trading it for a 19' F150, that was our dealer loaner. LOL

    Yet they make the same rated power numbers as the other 2.0T variants. And of course we will not see V6 twin turbo gains... 40/60 at the wheels are legit, tangible gains and will move the Mav along pretty nicely.

    No... and I will add, it's the fastest "new car smell" disappearance of any new car I have had. At like 2k, it was gone.

    Yes, yes you can tell from the clip.... It's the GDI system working normally. Every one of these 2.0's does this,. Esp in colder weather.

  13. Regular or premium gas??

    You will see all 250hp with Premium. Regular grade will obviously be ok though. Regardless, run a tank of Premium every once and a while. Or add some good injector cleaner in every 5k.

    GDI is very loud. It is normal.

    5 Star is doing tunes for Mavs now. From personal experience with the F-150 EcoBoost platform, they make power.

    Several vendors are seeing tangible gains. Stay away from "chips"...Nothing that costs $50-$60 is going to have positive results.

    Also born and raised in Detroit MI...drove in feet of snow with RWD only vehicles with no snow tires. so.. spare the pissing contest. If you took offense to me detailing an experience, I am not sure what to tell you.
