I have a 23 maverick lariat hybrid that I had in the shop for 2 weeks with only 1500 miles. With a shift system fault. Would not let you put in gear to drive, it would lock the parking brake on and not release. It would clear over time. They put a hybrid inverter on and said it was fixed. So I got it back and 3 days later it started again. So I go to the store today and it locked out again for about 30 minutes, so I was going to take it back to the dealership and on the way put it in park to get gas and it
locked out again for 4 hours. A trip to the store took 5 hrs instead of 5 mins. During that period I called for a tow and was told I didn't have roadside assistance. I asked how is that possible for a new vehicle with only 1600 miles and 3 months old? So I got passed to 2 others and then sent back to the roadside people where I started. I got the vehicle to the dealership and asked for a loaner, but no go. Ubered home. Called the ford coustermer service and they said I did have roadside assistance, but a lot of good that does now after stranded for 4+ hours. She said I could rent a car and ford may reimburse me. I think I'm done with ford. I never had these problems with chevrolet. They always gave me loaners and tows. I love my Maverick but this is ridiculous. It has been in the shop almost as long as my driveway.

The less than stellar companies that Ford contracts for roadside services are AWFUL…..I spent 5 hrs waiting for a flat repair….then finally paid for a tow to tire repair store out of my pocket….don’t expect much

Time to look into your state's lemon law to see when/if you already qualify.
Already investigating. I seen some on this site with the same issues that had to get a new transmission. We'll see, looks like another few weeks with no maverick.

Quality control and customer service sucks right now with all manufacturers. I bought a $60,000 2023 GLC 300 brand new in April. It lasted 3 weeks total (once only 3 days before having to go back) and has been in the shop ever since as it just completely stopped working. Won’t start at all.
So 6 out of less than 7 months of total ownership it has not been able to be driven. Mercedes basically told me to kick rocks, so i had to get a lawyer. Lemon lawyers are free, but i am being told it will be another 3 to 4 months for resolution. Thats nuts to me. Dealership doesnt care. manufacturer doesnt care. No one gives a damn about anything anymore.
Basically you need it to be in the shop 30 days total, or 4 times total for the same problem to qualify for the buyback.

the good news is if a lawyer decides to take your case, it’s because he or she is pretty confident you will win since that’s the only way they will get paid. Good luck.
