Yes, it actually gets cold.
I live in the Mojave not far from Death Valley and I have never had a problem with the air conditioner in my 23 hybrid keeping the interior cold.
Even at 117°+ that's at single digit humidity which makes a difference. The hybrid has a different style of compressor than a traditional automotive compressor that is run by a belt. The hybrid compressor is an electric scroll type compressor

If it's humid and it doesn't seem like the interior is getting cold. You may want to check and make sure that your drain line is draining condensation. Unfortunately you have a splash shield underneath where the condensation would be dripping from. It's a little hard to verify that everything is draining properly. Without removing that splash shield.

yes The AC gets cold if working properly and maintained I also noticed the Heater gets warm

My A/C in my 25' works absolutely great. In fact, the only time I place it on low is when I first get in the truck. About 10 minutes later I will turn it up to 72-74.

It can get brutally cold in any Maverick. One thing I learned early on when I thought my AC wasn't working well - don't turn the vents full left or right. That closes them.

Use the "Recirc" button to help your system by recooling already chilled air from within the cabin. Otherwise it has to work harder by constantly cooling hot exterior air.

YES...This. This is the COLDEST A/C I've ever experienced in any vehicle. 24 XLT Hybrid.
