I would think everyone, or almost everyone, who has driven/traveled any small or great distance usually has needed help or saw someone who needed it while out on the road.
So as the header says, what do YOU carry just-in-case it may be needed?
Here is my short list, some items I missed when I took my photos today.
First Aid kit, fire extinguisher, seat belt cutter/window breaker, a decent tow rope, spare Hitch, "battery powered flares"...(the three round orange devices, which are awesome!), don't-hit-me reflective vest, light gloves, knee pads, paper towel, a quality tire guage, battery powered tire inflator, safety flashlights, power bar and 4 different deep sockets for different lug nuts (just bought a new one as I lost one 2 weeks ago helping someone), 2 extra wiper blades...(they only fail when you absolutely need them), Leatherman multitool, lint roller...we have a cat...T-P...absolute necessity in the middle of no-where, windshield fluid, winter and summer...it is that time of year...snow here expected Saturday and it was 36 Celsius here yesterday and day before! Li ion battery booster, tie down straps...because it is a truck and a couple of light bungee cords for holding something light in place in the back of the truck to get it home...like a very long shepherds crook to hang a bird feeder...just saying it happens. ;-)
Did I miss anything?
Oh, spare fuses of appropriate size and amperage! I usually carry spare bulbs but I want to change mine to LED this summer, such as signals etc so haven't done that yet.
In the winter add a collapsible shovel for snow....I've only had to use it to help others, I swear!
I also included my new-fangled steering wheel lock with alarm, for when not parked in my garage. It is a bit of overkill for here, but I like it and it does give the truck a pop of colour. Our little trucks do get a lot of attention when we are out and about.
