of course they do. however, 'best' is certainly a different thing than 'favorite'.

there's no need to quantify a favorite, but I'm curious what made that guy think it's the best. perhaps he used the wrong term?
It's the same thing if you're asking the owner. The owner decides which criteria to use.

Just look at the responses throughout this topic! You see many people claiming the Maverick is the worst vehicle they've owned and many claiming it's the best. How can that be?

Well, I thought about all the trucks I've owned over the years, cost of ownership, driving experience and the like. For me 23 years and 300K made it the best truck to me. So I didn't use the wrong term.

interesting. to me, it's fairly evident that 'best' is a term that can objectively compared. good, better, best... right? the weighting of such comparisons can vary, but to use two examples, the maverick hybrid gets the best mpg of any truck that uses gasoline. the maverick as a whole is the best selling compact truck.

despite these two terms, someone could still fondly remember their junky old first truck and prefer it. that's a favorite. favorites may or may not use objective metrics.

But people have stated the Maverick is the best or worst vehicle they've owned. Unfortunately, everyone is not as purely objective as you believe you are.

I've got both filters, of course. The Maverick objectively has a small bed, and the Santa Cruz is even smaller.

I understand 'best' could be used as a synonym for 'favorite' but the two words are distinct.

Mixed feelings to be honest... There is a lot of I love and really like about my little truck. I could probably write a novel about it but to spare you all, I generally love the form factor, the tech and features in my Lariat, and it's probably the best cheap and practical hybrid vehicle for my lifestyle on the market right now.

I do keep finding the bed to be a bit of a frustration point though. And it's kind of funny because I like small trucks and I wouldn't have said this at all when I bought it but I really wish it had a longer bed. 4.5ft fills up really fast when your'e hauling lots of stuff and when paired with a tonneau cover, the vertical limit can be frustrating. We were moving around lots of boxes and loose stuff this weekend and compared to my BIL's Dodge with a 6ft bed and my FIL's Chevy with a 6.5ft bed, I had a bit of envy after seeing how little I could fit in the Mav with the tonneau cover on compared to them. I may not use the bed all that much most of the time but when I do, I often feel more limited than I would like to as a truck owner.

Would I consider buying a Lariat Hybrid Mav again? Yeah probably, especially with AWD as an option now. However, I do have to admit the Maverick leaves a few other boxes unchecked for me and while I knew that when buying it the first time, I'm not sure I could leave them unchecked a second time. If the Rivian R2 is on the market, I would lean more that way. I am an EV fan and would love to get back into one, especially one that is geared towards the more "adventury" lifestyle and all in all, I feel like an SUV is more my bag than a truck is.

No, I wouldn't buy one like mine again, I would buy the hybrid. The extra 10 MPG that many users boast about would be nice. The reason I didn't buy a hybrid in the first place was around all the issue's they had initially, plus I wanted the extra towing capacity. Sounds like many of the issue's have been resolved by now. I wish that there was a little more room in the back seat so passengers don't feel that cramped. I have listened to many reviews that indicate there is plenty of room in the back, however my average size passengers say no.

I would definitely buy mine again. I'm glad I bought it when I did (August 23, delivered January 24). Not doubt it would be quite a bit more expensive now, and possibly even more so in the future depending on how the tariffs go.

false. you can do a lot with a Maverick.

the 1500lb bed payload capacity is equal to current midsize trucks and greater than standard half ton trucks less than 20 years ago.

4000 pound towing is fairly useful.
Only you can’t tow that much with the 22-24 hybrid. I wish you could, as only Canned Hams are light enough, lol.

Yes , but mine was never "as ordered". The first dealer screwed me out of my first one,and sold it out from me. The Next dealer tried to rip me off with the covid 10,000 tax on the second.
And they got the order wrong. No BLack apperarence package, With black seats, tires etc.
Because I held them to the Signed agreement, they Refused to install any items I purchased from for Ford that did not come from there store . I ordered a Front / rear camera. tailgate lettering ,
Side tool box, tail gate assist cylinder. So it was never the truck, only the dealers.
