Hello everyone!...new 25 Maverick XLT EcoBoost owner. Been doing a few upgrades since picking it up a couple weeks ago. Today I had a speaker upgrade done, and wow, what a difference...definitely cleaned up the sound. As you can see in the pic, the stock speaker magnets are pretty small. I didn't have a sub or amp installed, just speakers and I'm very happy with the results.

1. Welcome! (FYI we all love pics of trucks, so be sure to post one up when you get a chance)

2. Glad to hear the MY25 base system still gets a nice boost from just a speaker upgrade. What speakers did you use, and who did the work for you?

From the looks of it, the shop you took it to cut and splice the new speakers in?

I used a stereo shop in Tempe, AZ called KarTunes. They are Hertz Dieci speakers

pff, whatever. if the splices are done properly, they aren't a concern. if they used metra adapters guarantee they would mark them up by 100% and the job gets a lot more expensive with very little gained. (ability to return to 100% stock. that's it.)

I just got a new XLT FX4 lux this month too and couldn't believe how terrible the standard speakers are. Haven't *had* to replace speakers in a new vehicle since my 1977 Toyota Corolla, but this seems a must do for me too. Think I'll try the Kicker plug-ins in the doors first but likely will get to rear as well. How do your new speakers sound if you just balance to the front only? Curious if you think the rear ones are necessary versus added benefit?

I have the radio set in the occupancy mode to "driver". While the majority of sound comes from the door and dash speakers, you can still hear sound from the rear speakers. I just decided to change all six speakers cause I didn't want to keep going back to the audio shop for more speakers...lol. The audio is much crisper and clean in my opinion.

Upgraded all speakers in my ‘24 XLT Hybrid.

Looks like an amazing sound system you have there...bet that sub gives you some great bass. Enjoy!

Replacing speakers is the biggest "bang for the buck" in audio improvement...throw in $65 of sound deadener, while your in there, worth the extra 15/20 minutes of work per door- since you already have the door panels off. Always a worthy upgrade, relatively cheap and easy afternoon project....$300, or thereabouts, goes a long way.

Did the Kicker coax plug-ins in doors yesterday for $79. Well worth it . Will get to rear soon...

Do you get any sound out the tweeters or is it only bass?
