My biggest complaint on the 2024 is the pop ups on the instrument panel. I KNOW the back up aid is on, I KNOW the adaptive cruise control is off, I hear the seat belt chime I don't need a pop up telling my they are latched or not. Also the auto start/stop should stay off if I select off.
I completely agree with all of that. None of it is a dealbreaker, but some things that are just annoying and with all the digital integration, we should be able to just turn that off if we don’t like it.

I have 1000lb objects just shy of 5 feet.
Bed extender shape is of no use to me. Would have been so nice to close the tailgate for a secure feeling AND get to keep the reversing camera.... but I digress.
A 5 foot bed would’ve been perfect

I forgot to mention that I think the door mirrors are too small.

Will it really do that if I can plug the holes of the three seatbelts in the back and make the warning light go away I’m gonna do that immediately, but I didn’t have any idea that would work.
I don't know if it works on a 25, but I think it works on 24 and older, I was sure happy to learn about it, and latched my rear belts the next time I drove and have never looked back, I rarely have anyone in the back seat anyway.

The seats. They have about as much padding as a cheap airline seat.
LOL, you picked a actually rather spendy seat for comparison...new commercial aircraft seats are $$ and rather comfortable...it's the airlines, I assume, that wait until the foam is crushed to dust before replacing the cushions.

Is the *bleeping* gas "gauge" on the 2025.
Same with me. I hate gas gauges that eventually just jump down a notch after the gasoline level drops enough to trigger it. I suppose it helps we are driving a hybrid that gets such great mileage but still a pain in the butt.

Dial shifter
Key fob/ push button start
100%.

I hate the dial shifter. Hate. Visceral hate.

And the monster fob for the push button start - Ford aught to be embarrassed. My wife drives a '17 Escape Titanium with remote start and the fob is half the size as my fob which does not allow remote start.

Is the *bleeping* gas "gauge" on the 2025. Whoever thought it was a good idea to have a 9 segment ugly "gauge" taking up all that vertical space needs to be taken out back and taught a lesson. In my 50 years of driving I've never seen a more stupid "gauge" in my life. Same pretty much goes for the temperature gauge but I don't look at that one as much.

This even beats out the off-centered rear license plate (which 3 people have already commented to me on).

What's your biggest complaint?
I love the off centre rear license plate because it makes it so easy to spot other Mavericks.

After reading these I am excited about my new 2025 XL Hybrid! If these are the worst things about it, it must be pretty amazing vehicle! Having said that, for me the inability to

No serious problems noted! Must be pretty good vehicle. Having said that I wish I could keep the ECO mode as my default. I also miss a bed rail along the front of the bed. I installed a molle panel. Also why the big opening in bottom of tailgate? I installed an aftermarket pop-in piece here.

Google maps on my center screen... Most of the functions are fine, but I really don't like how the search field randomly shows places I've been, or searched. I often give people rides, and this sometimes confuses them when they see it (if it's not their own destination). I say randomly because there's no rhyme or reason as to when it shows it. It does it after I receive a text, or just whenever it feels like it (and yes, even when I have the screen turned off). Really has a mind of it's own.

I loved my '22 Maverick & love my '25 Maverick even more. But I have 2 minor complaints.

1) Like all who have stated it before me, I hate that it doesn't remember the driving mode and the last "Card" on the display.

2) I hate that the tachometer has blue on the bottom right next to where the blue indicator is for my high beams. I can't just see blue out of the corner of my eye & know the high beams are on.

These and nearly every other one I've read are surely First World problems. It's nice to own a vehicle that is nearly perfect for me.
