The name. Who's dumb idea was it to bring back a name of a muscle car from the '70's and stick it on a small pickup. Why not a name of a small pickup from the '70's and '80's that millions of people owned and have fond memories of: Courier! Nobody in marketing thought of that?

Ranchero!
I liked the Courier too.

I have had over 600 reactions to my posts, yours was the first "angry": suggest that it says more about you than me. We all have a few bad days, hope yours gets better
I’m confused. Are you pissed at yourself?

Is the *bleeping* gas "gauge" on the 2025. Whoever thought it was a good idea to have a 9 segment ugly "gauge" taking up all that vertical space needs to be taken out back and taught a lesson. In my 50 years of driving I've never seen a more stupid "gauge" in my life. Same pretty much goes for the temperature gauge but I don't look at that one as much.

This even beats out the off-centered rear license plate (which 3 people have already commented to me on).

What's your biggest complaint?
I do not like the fact that I have no dome lights when I open the doors when the truck is in deep sleep mode. It’s freaking irritating.

It doesn't even have to be in deep sleep mode. Park with battery fully charged. After 5 days, on a battery tender, interior lights will not come on. I honestly wonder if it the light itself has the function of reacting to the door opening and timing out after and it is some other module that is cutting off power or ground to it when it's not happy about not having been driven, or if they've put all that functionality in the module. If it's the former then it would be possible to rewire it directly to power and ground to take the stupid module out of the equation and have it work properly.

Not likely. It is less than a month old and there are no other indications of a battery issue.
There's a million things that disable auto stop/start. This time of year, I would bet you started turning on the A/C which will do it.

My least favorite thing about the Maverick Lariat with the Lux package, is that the passanger seat is not powered. Nobody can figure out how to adjust it with the tilt handle hard to reach.

All of the arm rests could be longer and more padded.

Seriously? Never heard of anything like that. Are you saying it will stay like that?

I just installed a aftermarket console cover on my 2025 Subaru it fit great and provides some extra padding and protection I think I will order one for my 2025 Maverick now that the first one worked out 👍

Since I have only had my 2024 for 2 weeks I have not had any recalls. But I never buy a new to the market vehicle in the first 2 years of production. Been on the part manufacturing end and know the issues that come up.

Latching all three rear seatbelts will prevent the pop up. I made up some simple, dummy clips from some plastic I had.

Will it really do that if I can plug the holes of the three seatbelts in the back and make the warning light go away I’m gonna do that immediately, but I didn’t have any idea that would work.
