I forgot to mention that the exhaust noise is louder on the 2025 Maverick compared to the 2022 model.
I agree i think the exhaust on my 2025 with the 2.0 Eco Boost is kind of loud for the stock exhaust.

I have laughed to myself about going from the off center front plate on my F150 to the Maverick off center in the rear! I guess I've grown so accustomerd to it that it doesn't bother me anymore...

With the Trailer Hitch the Rear Plate has to be on the Right or Left.

Having owned a 22 Lariat and still a 24 XLT. Interior plastic is garbage. Same in my Bronco. Oddly the Bronco Sport is better than both.
The 22 Lariat needed additional sound deadening. Rear speaker location was designed by an idiot. No I shouldn’t have to use a fader when someone sits in the rear. Speaker should just be in the door. Dislike dial shifter but does make for a lager feeling console area. XLT without push button start?
Both are pretty rattle free.
Water that shoots out of the weather stripping at you when opening door is bothersome. Water that collects on hood only to keep spraying windshield for awhile.
Non split rear seat.
New price tag.
Overall Ford did knock it out of the park with the Maverick. I love it.

Ok here’s my list:

1) the horrible 9 slot gas gauge, like the OP already said

2) plastic scratches if you look at it too hard

3) the new 2025 electric driving mode status is difficult to figure out. I understand how to get all the info if needed, BUT it should just be a simple bar like the previous versions.

4) the AC system lacks dials. So you have to treat it like your home AC and adjust it by desired temp, rather than just adjusting the hot/cold air blower. Plus the AC just randomly decides to turn on and off—even when you have auto disabled.

That being said, it’s still my favorite automobile I’ve owned.
a/c goes on automatically when it senses interior humidity to clear off the interior windshield (it thinks it's 'foggy')

Won’t hold pre set start up profiles.
I’d set as my run default,
No Auto Start/Stop EVER !
A 5 second self canceling seat belt bell then Nothing ?
If someone’s too stupid to belt in,
Well then,
The Gene pool needs a little cleaning up now and then right !

Then there’s the 137 things I really like about my 2024 EcoBoost.
I used to have to turn the auto start/stop feature off each time I started the car but for the past few days it has stayed off. Don't know what changed that but I am happy it stays off.

The name. Who's dumb idea was it to bring back a name of a muscle car from the '70's and stick it on a small pickup. Why not a name of a small pickup from the '70's and '80's that millions of people owned and have fond memories of: Courier! Nobody in marketing thought of that?

Most likely your battery state of charge is too low to activate it.

The Maverick was an economy compact car built on a unibody chassis, not a muscle car. The new Maverick is an economy compact truck built on a unibody chassis.

An economy compact car with a 302 cubic inch V-8? Nothing like a Mustang. Got it.

The knob shifter is a bit of a problem, but not a deal breaker. I've knocked it out of drive with my leg a few times on the freeway now. Needs a shield so the side of my pants leg doesn't touch it.

The Maverick was never a muscle car. It was born out of the gas crisis.
