The recall fix is out and here are some facts you need to know about it. Before the recall can be performed, your battery needs to be at 100% charge. The recall takes 1 hour to perform using the FDRS tool. With this in mind, give your dealer time to perform them and schedule them. We will be 2 weeks out to schedule one at our dealership because we have 86 Mavericks that will need to be done first. These can be done via mobile service, which we will be able to do for our customers within 30 miles of the dealership.

I will doing a video for our Maverick Monday video series going over this and our 2024 Maverick inventory that now is available to sell as of today.

Fordvideoguy you seem to be the most knowledgeable person out there so I’m hoping you can answer my question about when (approximately) my 2025 build will start or when I would get something from ford as to my build date? I got my first letter on Jan 12 stating that they got my order. 45 days later I got my second letter stating that they are still working on a build date. As of today still nothing. Is there a problem with materials or what is going on?

Your dealer needs an allocation to get your order scheduled for a production date. I would ask them how many allocations they have this month (new set of allocations they earned for March just landed in their WBDO). And ask them how many unscheduled retail orders they have. If allocations are more than unscheduled orders, you should get scheduled this Thursday or next Thursday. If they don't have enough allocations then it could take another month depending on your configuration.

I had my Maverick done on the camera audio display recall. One of the things I noticed immediately was the screen was brighter and that the backup camera was much smoother with no jittery images and absolutely no freezing at all.
I am not sure why the screen was brighter as it did not wash out as bad in direct sun light. I had the settings of the screen on the bright before so something was off in the original programming. Still is a dinky screen but much improved

Just had it done at my house in about 90 minutes. Updated some other stuff I had not had done. I backed out of driveway and when I put in gear, it instantly froze!!! (Had never froze before!) Cussed and fumed and almost panicked but reminded myself it’s a software upgrade so I shut everything down and rebooted it. It came on and looks sharper to me too. All’s well that ends well

Keep and eye out on it.

I won't be surprised if there is a recall later on to fix improperly fixed trucks.

Anyone know if any of the recent updates fix the infotainment system from crashing/restarting all the time? My seems to go black for no reason multiple times a week. Always worse when carplay is connected to my iphone but sometimes it does it with nothing connected. The other day my info screen went black and then my main cluster screen went black and both restarted.

Stupid computer crap in this truck is like having a bad windows computer from the 2000's.

I'm going to wait till they have recall battery replacements as well before I bother going in for the 5 recalls, want them to do them all at once. Already been in 3 times for other recalls. Sick of recalls on the Mavericks. If the system wasn't tied to other crap I would have ripped it out and put in my own system by now.

My '24 XLT is getting picked up this morning for the camera recall and oil change/service. Hope it works out!
I had them pick up my truck once before for battery issues and they returned it a couple hours later all done. Which for this little one-horse town is pretty impressive.

If these trucks go into battery saver mode in the middle of an update, it can bork it. So, most dealers connect a backup power source to the truck during update, so that won't happen. The ones that don't do this are the ones you should look out for.

Similar to setting up a new phone. Do it while connected to a charger.
