Before the 2025 models arrived at dealers and people starting buying them, I noticed a LOT of hate for the front end re-design. Myself included. I was not a fan. In fact I was eager to get the previous design since that was the original Maverick that I fell in love with. This new front-end, at least on Ford’s website, looked AWFUL and my heart sunk.

…until I saw it in person. Then my opinion completely changed. I cannot exactly express why it looks so much better in person. But I think it’s partly due to the fact that all the camera angles were taken as if you were looking at it from 2 feet off the ground. The new bottom lip looked huge. And you focused on that more than you did the horn-shape of the lights. But when you see it in person, generally you’re looking at it from a higher vantage point, and you can see the 3D shape of it, rather than just a “slab” that is covering up the old lights.

I’m at the point now where I actually PREFER it over the original design. I love the horn-shaped lights. Anyone feel the same? Have you noticed a decrease in the hate for the front-end?
I still don't like it. Never hated it, just honestly think the 2022-2024 looks better! I am glad I have a 2024 and plan to keep it for quite a while.

I like it now, but it took some getting used to. Still hanging tough with my 22 EB! Six more payments and, so far, trouble free with 26k miles.
Same here, 28k on a 22' EB and trouble free. A few recalls but done with professional work by selling dealer. Love my little Maverick.

Well with the New look, I guess you can call that "Progress." :giggle:
The back-ends still look the same...
I wonder if FORD will do a major revamp, in 2028?

I know the Rangers' did not change too much over time..

The White one is a MY2008, and the Blue is a MY1994...

I traded my white 2002 Ranger Edge in on my 24 Mav. I loved my Ranger but it was time to let it go.

I guess the title of this thread should be changed to "Plenty of hate still for the 2025 grille". In the interest of journalistic accuracy. Otherwise it fails fact checking.

Nah, still don't like it. It just looks goofy with those droopy headlights with bags under them.

Finally saw some 25s in person today at the dealership. It's not as jarring a change as I thought it would be. There was a lone 24 sitting next to them, so it was a side by side look. Neither design is exactly a sight for sore eyes, or something one would call sleek or sexy. It's a basic vehicle, not a art piece. I like my 22 because it's mine. I'm sure if I had waited until MY25 to get one I would have liked it better, because it was the one I would have owned. ;)

The front doesnt really matter to me I thought the instrument cluster is the worst change. I like the analog guages on my 22. I dont hate going all digital but it just looks strange on the Maverick. The dash cutout is a great shape with analog but the whole thing looks out of place with the digital.

I thought Ford lost it when they went from this. Maverick update is easy.

You don't like the '60 Starliner? It's gorgeous! The '59 is way overwrought (but a huge improvement over the gaudy '58 with its fake hood scoop).

I was the same way when they came. Out with the 99 Super Duty til I saw it. Since I dont even look at the pictures. They’re hard to judge.

Yep I remember them being on the roads back in the day. Pure metal, beer can thin skins and plastics wasn't part of build assembly, all right here in the usa. We had all the industries we need to make everything we had. We need to get back to that capability before another war get started imo
