I really appreciate this site. I lurked for months trying to get familiar with what people liked and didn't about the Maverick. Extremely helpful. I was leaning towards a 2025 XL with a few add ons: hitch, spray in bed liner and ford copilot 360 for the interior sideview mirror adjustment buttons.

In the end I chose a '22 Lariat that someone had added hard tri fold tonneau, tailgate lock, wheel locks, sunroof, bed lighting, 20K miles and Area 51. I spent the next few weeks second guessing my decision. I've been trying to find something I regret about it.

I've familiarized myself with the pros and cons. So far... there is nothing that stands out. I love this little truck. Mileage isn't as good as advertised, but I'm good with 35ish. The sound system is more than adequate. Love the heated seats and steering wheel. XM is cool. Android Auto works flawlessly. No lurching. Good power getting on the freeway. Adaptive cruise control is great. Lane assist was BIG surprise. That works really well.

If I had one gripe it would be no snow chains or cables. Maybe I can use socks, but I haven't seen a solution for this yet.

All in all, great fuel economy, easy to park, great stereo for me, love the sunroof, heated seats and steering wheel, etc. There is nothing I dislike about this truck.

The only things I've added are the easy open tailgate shock and a Proclip phone holder that I found used on eBay.

Sincere thanks to all contributors to this site. Insights here made my choice easier and saved me thousands.

Welcome to the Madhouse.

You'll find lots of posts regarding the Hybrid Maverick.

I don't know whether its was a private sale or off a Dealer's lot, but make sure all recalls have been completed. You shouldn't be affected by the Reverse Camera recall since it doesn't apply to Lariats.

Hello and welcome to MTC. Congratulations on your Maverick. I was why you didn't attach a picture? Reads like you really like your truck.

Greg, I can easily add a very large "DITTO" to what you said above. We have an Escape Titanium hybrid that we really like so when it came time to get a smaller truck the Maverick hybrid seemed to be a natural choice. Like you, I lurked on here for a while to see what I could learn and eventually found my '24 Lariat hybrid w/ only 3,150 miles, The thing is virtually brand new. I have yet to find anything I don't like. I do miss the Homelink and Head Up Display on the Escape but somehow I'll manage to get by w/o them. ;)

The Homelink is an easy addon.

Already have it taken care of... the point is that it SHOULD be there as part of the Lariat trim level. It's not expensive for the manufacturer to source the bits/pieces and it's well-proven, long established technology.

I couldn't agree with you more. It's not like they don't already make a Homelink visor for the Escape and the Bronco Sport. I mean for that matter why the heck couldn't they have at least put a auto-dimming rear view mirror in the Lariat for pete's sake.

With OP reporting avg 35, I'm surprised if that's for the Hybrid...

The title of the thread is "New Owner of a 2022 Lariat Hybrid". I take the good soul at his word and request that you buy me a tankard of ale.

Ok yes I should learn to read the post title I guess. Even so, that is almost bordering on EB mpgs...

Welcome.

Don't think that just because you have a used truck that no one wants to see pics. I have an Area 51, and I would STILL love to see your Maverick.

Welcome to the club and Maverick ownership. Another 22 Lariat hybrid owner here. I've had the truck since new and absolutely love everything about it. Super smooth and quiet ride, good power, comfortable seats, nice driver amenities, great mileage, and a capable bed. I've done many modifications to make the truck uniquely mine. Truth is I make up reasons to drive it. Here's to many safe and happy travels. Have no fear of reaching out to other club member for suggestions, information, and how-to's. Great group of people here.
