Doesn't everyone have concerns when spending a butt load of money on anything? The percentages are in favor that the Maverick will be trouble free.

You have had issues with yours? Love to hear the problems. Recalls are just part of owning a new vehicle. I've always had to deal with recalls on every new vehicle I've purchased.

Silent majority says there've been issues?
That an opinion. I would agree the vast minority have had no issues. The owners that have had problems just complain more.

JD Power actually rated thr Maverick higher than the Tacoma.

Just picked up the Maverick XLT with lux package today. Everything went very well. The test drive revealed a few thing but it wasn't a deal breaker.

First the good stuff. I expected the truck was going to be noisy at highway speeds. It wasn't. It actually quieter than the Camry I traded in. I actually took a Marvick eco boost for a drive and it was quite a bit noiser. The suspension is well sorted out and absorbed bumps remarkable well. The transition from ICE to electric was seamless. My mother in-law has a hybrid Venza it I can hear the ICE motor more. Truck felt solid and put together well. I was surprised that the tailgate is power locking. The Ford pass app is a nice addition with the ability to remote start, lock and unlock and even see tire pressures from your phone. The dealership also gave me $150 credit that can be used to purchase accessories and service. The dealership I bought from is about 200kms from me and the trip home showed 40mpg at highway speeds (65mph).

Now some of the not expected stuff. Carplay and android auto is wired and not wireless. There is no adaptive cruise control which is a head scratcher because it has auto braking. There are no parking sensors. All the bulbs accept the headlight are incandescent. Panel gaps on the hood are slightly wider on the passenger side than the driver's side, an adjustment will be made.

I did talk to the dealership about ordering and we did build a Lariet with luxury package that would give me all the desired tech but it was about 8K higher in cost and over six months before I would see it.

I really do like the silver and pictures can't do it justice.

Now I just need to find a hard tonneau cover and the dampner for the tailgate.

Mav was launched in 2022 and the first year of any new vehicle can have issues (even the new Tundra had issues) but after a couple of years the issues get smoothed out. Ford has hit a home run with this truck, I would highly recommend it. I have a 2022 with 13K miles and no issues. Congrats on the Mav, that silver looks great!

I have a 2021 Venza as well.

Don't kid yourself. The Venza is much more refined. That said, this is the truck that drives like a car. It is smoother and quieter than any other truck that I've experienced.

Which maybe leads some to say this is not a truck. But it is.

It's a GREAT looking truck that drives ok too.

I was just referring to the engine noise and not the overall refinement. I can definitely hear the motor in the Venza when it starts up more than in the Maverick.

It's all part of the early adopters tax we agree to pay....

I have had 1 or 2 recalls on new vehicles in the past, not the 6 or 9 (who knows?) that I am sitting at with this Maverick.

Warranty repairs:
  • Two new CV axels.
  • Entire exhaust system replaced.
  • AC Compressor.
  • Brakes.
  • Steering column.
I feel as though I am missing one....

On top of Customer Satisfaction Program remedies and Technical Service Bulletins.

This truck has had more issues than all of the vehicles I have ever owned, combined, if I ignore my outright project cars. Still keeping it.

JD Power is a joke.

Owners that have issues complaining is how it is with any product or service. There is an old statement from Sales that goes something like, "An angry customer will tell 10 people how angry they are. A happy customer might tell 2."

Well if you starting hating it, sell it. Life's to short to live with something you hate. If mine turn out to be crap I'm out before the warranty ends.

Here is one of the videos that also helped me to decide. He has 25K on his and very few problems.

Bought a 24 XL Hybrid in January now have 9,707 miles and absolutely no problems and love this thing. Best vehicle I have ever had.
Get it I think you will be happy most of the problems you are hearing about are on the 22 and 23 MY.
I have a 2024 Hybrid XL as well. No problems at all. Must have been sorted out.

Well mine is an ecoboost lariat. No problems…except rats!🐀🐁🐀. Yes that was unexpected. Killed the ac. $500+ to get fixed. I was sick.

I was one of the group in ‘22’ that ordered without real test driving, but still knowing every detail from reading and watching hours of videos. Then waiting months and hoping it turned out well.

A year later and I still smile every time I drive it!😊

Who said anything about hate? I said the complete opposite, I'm keeping it. We have been on many adventures together and have many to go!

"Something, something, I paid for the warranty, I'm gonna use it!"

:)

I said "if you start hating it".

Personally if the Maverick shows that it's going to be unreliable I'll be dumping it fast. I'm a retired Toyota tech and the only reason the Maverick is in my garage is because Toyota does not offer a compact truck.

So far after checking out the Maverick more throughly I'm liking what I'm seeing. Very reliable low stress duratec 2.5l engine, post injected with easy serviceability.
