someone needs to pull door cover look at speaker. lol
I haven’t read all the threads, but I have a 2025 XLT Hybrid, upgrading the speakers an adding an amp. The door speakers are junk. Paper, small magnet, compared to the kicker 6 3/4’s going in, several pounds difference in weight.

it shows the door speakers have an added low pass crossover
great stuff, just quoted this one piece because I've wondered and don't know. there should be a bandpass filter on the b&o door speaker. what's the high pass frequency? knowing that would help someone match a subwoofer like an hs10 more easily.

my sub amp has a self tuning DSP (kicker key 500.1) so I didn't have to worry about that detail.

I don't think they changed the high pass frequency between the two variations, it appears they are both around 100Hz, maybe a 24 dB/octave.

The Blue is the base front door speaker and the Red is the B&O front door speaker.

Ford Maverick Did they change the sound system with the 2025s? front_near_bo_vs_bas

I think that midrange hole is a vehicle and speaker placement issue. I have a similar dip with an Audison tuned DSP setup in my 23 with Hertz cento pro components up front.
If you have a DSP add an All Pass Filter on the passenger side door speaker centered at that frequency, adjust Q to fit the null.

2022-24 they had the same rear speakers, but the front door mid and tweeter were both different on B&O.

the B&O tweeter is ok. it's harder to notice the improvement when you replace it, but when you replace the 6.5 you instantly get a ton more midbass.

Interesting. I would not have guessed looking at the measurements. Thanks for the info.

the b&o mid is not impressive at all, but it does have a little more excursion and a larger magnet than the base 6.5.

upgrading the front components on B&O is a massive upgrade. well, it was for 22-24, I assume the same for MY25. but yours is base, you have a blank canvas. (y)

Sadly, the Audison F8.9 doesn't have all pass.

Would using the 6.5 only from this kit. Be an improvement? I had same speakers in my other ford and it made a dramatic difference. Was great. Not sure I want to spend $100 again just for 2 speakers again, I didn’t use the tweeters. I actually have the tweeters unused I think in my cabinet from this set

I've heard people say the powerbass is a decent and noticeable plug and play upgrade on stock power. I would do the tweeters too if you already have them.

The tweeters if I recall wasn’t plug and play, just the big speaker so I tossed em in a drawer. Could potentially give them to someone if anyone wants them

I would need to double check to make sure I still got them of course

The big speaker was plug play, clip and all. tweeters needdd more so I didn’t do it

I would be interested in checking the tweeters out if you find them.

I'm perfectly happy with the B&O. I'm driving a truck not a concert hall. 🙂

I have a 24 Eco Lariat and the stereo is garbage. It is by far the worst car stereo I have ever had. It is the only thing I hate about the vehicle. I hate that I can't just swap out the head unit and speakers. It is very annoying that I have to get a DSP to unbork the signal and rewire everything and then I'll still have that garbage head unit with a wireless Android Auto adapter.
