Fun to drive, especially or curved roads. I sometimes feel like I’m fighting the lane keeper - it doesn’t feel as solid as it did in the Explorer. I followed a tip to remove the rear headrests.
i don’t feel like I’m in a hole - funny that Blue_Max mentions he’s not used to sitting so high. I came from driving fire trucks, 450’s, 350’s, personal 250’s then an Expedition and Explorer. I like that it fits in the garage and into parking spaces. It doesn’t feel small until I park next to a full size PU.
it’s still too new to take to the landfill - it’s kind of like getting your puppy’s first tag makes him an official dog; going to the du,p makes the Mav an ā€œofficialā€ truck.

I still enjoy going around curves with adaptive cruise on when someone that hasn't ridden in my truck is with me. No hands.

I've mentioned this before but the Maverick is the best-driving vehicle I've ever had. Like you, I never get tired of driving in it for an extended period of time. I never feel achy after a long drive. It's the perfect road-trip vehicle. The seats are in the sweet spot, not too firm while not too soft. I do think the cloth seats in the XL and XLT are more supportive. That still doesn't stop me from wanting to drive long distance. It handles like a car so I forget that I'm driving a truck most of the time. I mean, technically it is a car since it's based off the Focus we don't get in the states anymore.

That's why I was hoping to get a new Hybrid from my local dealer that I've been conducting business with for the last four years. I was looking to reap the benefits of the hybrid efficiency to add to the wonderful driving experience but unfortunately, my dealership did me dirty by not wanting to negotiate. I'll still keep an eye on one elsewhere but until then, I'm enjoying what I have very much.

After years of driving cars that have a low profile, it is nice to get out of a vehicle that I don't have to roll over and climb off my knees to exit. Plus, the first thing that I really liked when I drove it is how much it feels like I'm driving a car, not a truck.

Next is the extra "punch" this truck has when trying to pass other people! Lots of Tacoma drivers are surprised that not only do I catch up to them but pass them!

And yes, the seats are comfy for me. I am just under six feet two inches and I have long legs and a short torso and I fit perfectly in this truck! I can see in all my mirrors. I can park in parking lots. And the one thing that I really like is the moon roof!

When I went looking for a Maverick, I had a car broker look for one. I was willing to settle for whatever was available. Within 10 days, my broker said they had one in San Diego and sent my pictures and the options it came with. Heater seats, power driver seat, moon roof, trailer hitch, power in the truck bed, XLT packgage............I was sold and I am happy.

Hey a 1923? Is it like this one? I'll bet she rides rough! Just joking, we know you meant 2023. I'll bet not many options on the original 1923 models! Have a great day my friend!

I enjoy in the Maverick! It's nice to hear the sound of unbuckled belts and drive with the screen closed. This car is a dream! Ford service says it's necessary, it's for my safety. How long would you be able to drive in that mode?

Not really. I like that its cheap and efficient.

I liked driving my Mazda MX6 for many years. Comfy seats. 2.slow 4-banger, but good mpg and stick shift.
2016 VW Sportwagen - handled good, also cheap and good mpg. Stick shift.

Mav - newer and safer. Meh to drive, though.

I have a long commute, about 100 miles round trip. My wife has a 1/2 mile trip so I usually try and switch up driving both of our cars to balance the miles. More often than not I don’t switch up now that I got my maverick. I was driving wranglers for 9 years and I wanted to switch things up with a performance sedan. Something with decent power, decent mpgs and a back seat for my son. But I ended up with my maverick and I’m so surprised it checked those boxes plus it has awd and a bed. It almost drives as good as my wife’s previous car a 5th gen Camaro. Not sure if it’s due to the tow package and longer wheelbase but the suspension feels to me nice and tight. It feels just as good at 80 as it does at 40. The only thing I’d change is making the awd rear wheel biased over front wheel. Otherwise it’s a great blend of a vehicle and it does so many things well.

I've had my '22 Lariat for a little over 6 months and have taken it on several big long road trips with lots of smaller daily driving in between. It took a bit of adjustment coming from a smaller hatchback sedan but as soon as I acclimated to it, I can really truly say I do enjoy driving it! It's not a super sporty "driver's car" by any means but it has enough pep to make it fun to scoot around town in and I find the creature comforts inside make longer driving very cozy.

I had never owned a pickup until 2003, when I bought a Ranger and the sensation of going around a bend at 30 mph was scarry as hell. It took months to get over that sensation that I was going to roll that thing every time I made a right hand turn. My 2011 Ranger was a breeze. By then I was totally over my uneasiness. My 24 Maverick corners so nicely compared to both Rangers. For me, it feels like I'm back in a sedan, It corners beautifully. I love driving it, it's comfortable, quiet, and I'm getting almost 20 more mpg than I was getting with my V6 Ranger. What's not to like?

Dumb generic post, but I was driving around this weekend and thought "you know, I really do enjoy driving this truck".

I've had way "cooler" vehicles that were more performance/luxury oriented, but the Maverick handles/drives so well. Every time I hop in I'm content.

I was on the highway, backroads, and in stop/go traffic over a long trip today and not once got sick of being in the truck for an extended amount of time. There's a sweet spot with this truck that's hard to describe.

I also really enjoy the features of the Lariat package in my Tremor. The seats rock, plush but firm. The B&O sound system is great. It's cold AF out here in the northeast and the heated function in the seats/steering wheel do not disappoint. The AWD system has also rocked while the roads are slick.

Feeling grateful tonight I guess!
I know what you mean. I've gone on some long drives like from Abilene to Lubbock or College Station and after arriving, feel the same as when driving just down the road. Other vehicles make me feel worn out. My Mav is actually fun to drive. More like a sports car than a truck (and I have driven 2 full size trucks before). So far, I haven’t had any issues at least no show stoppers. All in all one of the best vehicles I've ever owned and at 74 there have been many.
