Temperature was hovering in the 30 degF range when I started my 2.0L Ecoboost Maverick. This sound was coming from somewhere toward the back of the engine. Anybody know what it is and its source?

Hummmm I have hybrid and I believe the back of my engine is on the right. In any case if defrost is on it might be the AC compressor running to dehumidify the cabin.Temperature was hovering in the 30 degF range when I started my 2.0L Ecoboost Maverick. It would be more helpful if you had a sound bite that you could post.Temperature was hovering in the 30 degF range when I started my 2.0L Ecoboost Maverick. This sound was coming from somewhere toward the back of the engine. Anybody know what it is and its source?
the high pressure fuel pump can exceed 3,000 psi. it makes some noise doing that.My God! It sounds like the engine is in full self destruct mode. Nice to know it won't fly apart.
Thanks!
