Correct me if I’m wrong but my experience would back up the effect altitude has on the vehicle, hence the lack of availability of 93 octane in higher altitudes. I’m in Boise and we sit at around 2100 ft and I can definitely feelWell, yeah, seems lots of opinions. I started a thread quite a while ago about the lugging effect I was experiencing with my Maverick at times while driving around 35-50 mph and the tach showing around 1200 RPM. I compared the effect to driving a standard one gear too high. There were some that never experienced that effect and others claimed high octane was of no benefit.
Moral of the story, to each their own, your YMMV..![]()
the difference in octane in all the vehicles that I’ve owned since I’ve been up here.
