Hello, everyone. As they say, things happen for a reason, so after making a mess out of my interior and spilling coffee all over the center console of my 2022 Ford Maverick, something good has come out of it. After taking the center console out to clean all the switches, I found that the drive mode plug was quite familiar and very similar to those on SHO, the Focus MK4, and others. After some testing, I was able to confirm this was the case, so I have designed a small timer module to automate the Eco-Drive-Mode every time you start the engine! It is nothing but two-timers in series. One sets a delay to allow the ECU past the deaf zone, and the second specifies the drive mode of your choice.

Do you plan to sell this as a completed product that just needs to be installed and configured?

What’s the chance that adding additional pulses could activate the additional drive modes that are not available on FX4 models. (Eco-Mode and Sport)

...fully programmable! Download the PDF on my blog. The first time I made one of these was about 4 years ago to force a Focus MK4 into sport mode which is the last option in the chain requiring 7 pulses.

You would still need to enable them via FORScan to be selectable. This is just creating an electrical signal similar to button pushes.

Could this also be applied to the OK to drive and seatbelt pop up notifications?

I thought that could be turned off via the menus on your dash

Working on that! WIll be taking the steering wheel and the radio off tomorrow. I am trying to figure out which way to go on that before ordering parts.

If this modification is installed can you still change modes manually using the Drive mode selector button?

Just a matter of how high your counter goes is all. You need to go to 7 pulses instead of 5 if you enabled all the drive modes.
