My 2.0 EB gets around 32 miles per gal. at highway speeds. About 26 in town currently.

Ford has issued a recent update to address the freezing issue on the screen.
Holy shit Darryl. You might wanna lay off the coffee after midnight. That's eleven posts in a row in the same thread, and mostly commenting on replies from last year telling them that the hybrid comes in AWD for 2025. 😂

I traded a 2019 RAM Promaster van (low top, shorty) in for a 2025 XLT Hybrid Maverick. Although it rode like a brick the van was a great vehicle for me with zero issues over 77K miles. I didn't need the cargo/hauling capacity any more and don't miss it one bit. Have only had my Maverick a couple weeks but loving it so far with no regrets. So, fwiw, if I was given the choice again whether to trade or not "today" I would definitely do it again.

Absolutely,
I would prefer a Plug-in.
With 40-45 miles electric range.
I wouldn't have to buy gas for months in the winter.
40 miles of EV range would be excellent, but even 20 miles would be great.

Now I'd be torn if Ford offered a PHEV Maverick in FWD only. I think I'd have to still go for the HEV AWD 4k tow.

Yeah, a quick software update fixed this awhile ago and I’ve never had the issue again.

100% No.

2nd attempt, thought the first one was just "first year gremlins", but the 2nd one ended up like this too:

I wouldn't bother for just 20 miles in range. I chose the Chevy Volt's 36 then 42 mile range on the gen 2.
Over the Ford Fusion's 28 mile range.

Yes. I never would have bought a truck unless it was a hybrid.

I now have 2 hybrid vehicles after driving a diesel for nearly 10 years. At least I can get less expensive fuel and still get decent or better fuel economy.

The Maverick is a different, a little more "pure" hybrid, targeting fuel economy. My other vehicle has the HybridMax system from Toyota. The hybrid and turbo are more to give the car good performance rather than great fuel economy.

But if the Maverick had been just fuel economy, probably not. I remember driving a Prius rental many years ago. Great fuel economy, but it was SLOW to get to 60.

The 2 main reasons I went with the Maverick were the hybrid, and the size that fits in my garage. The Santa Cruz would fit in the garage, but wasn't hybrid. Though it also had an even smaller bed.
