Interesting, but the 2025 different gear ratio when equipped with the 4K Tow Package is also applied to the Hybrid AWD? Where can I find the info?
The 2025 4k towing equipped models do not have a different gear ratio than the base model vehicles. The alternate, lower, gear ratio that came with the 4k towing package only applies to 2022-2024 ecoboost models. The place you can find the info is in the ford maverick towing guide.

2024:

2025:
Ford Maverick With or without the 4K package ??? IMG_2067

Notice that the 2025 base model ecoboost final drive ratio is 4.96% lower than the 2024, while the 2025 hybrid final drive ratio is 15.8% lower than the 2024 model. That is great news. The lower hybrid ratios should really help it off-road or when towing.

I don’t have any way to prove it, but I’m believing the maverick towing guide pdf over the maverick technical specifications pdf.

it just makes the most sense that if they’re going to have a 4k towing rated hybrid that they would give it a lower final drive ratio.

30 years ago, yes, but not in 2025.
The base model 2025 hybrid has a 3.37 final drive ratio and gets an EPA rating 42 city, 33 highway.

The 2024 base model hybrid had a 2.91 final drive ratio and got an EPA rating of 42 city and 33 highway.
Just because it has an EPA rating doesn't mean thats the case in practical application. Plus your profile picture is an AI generated not maverick truck, so I don't even know it I can believe you lol!

XL is much better yes! That being said, heated seats are a requirement for my climate, as is the better climate system. Honestly a waste of money compared to the XL but I needed those. That being said, old Mavericks have that awful infotainment system, hence why I wouldn't even consider buying one.
That’s the same rationalization as I used when I bought my lariat. The automatic climate control, copilot 360, electric sliding rear window and B&O stereo are a requirement for my warm and sunny SoCal “every day is a party” climate.

Except my truck was ~35k and yours was probably at least 38.

$37,500.

You make it sounds like the $2,500 difference is breaking the bank.

I put a new set of OEM pilot 4S tires on my Cayman this week. It cost $2,250.

For that money, I’d much rather be getting the nicer truck rather than a new set of rubber.

That's a ton! XLT to XL is much more practical application. But hey, people with money will find ways to spend it. This is my first new car in my entire lifetime!

It not about the towing capacity . It's about the cooling capacity keeping everything cool and happy. To me it like a police package more than towing. And if I have to explain you wouldn't understand or care. :)
Exactly. I live in the South and I got the 4K for the additional cooling and lower final drive ratio.

Hi Folks,

I’m looking to buy the 2025 AWD Hybrid, but I’m hesitant about adding the 4K towing package.

I’m quite sure I’ll never need more than the standard 2,000-pound towing capacity versus the 4,000 pounds with the 4K package.

How does this impact resale value? Will it significantly affect the resale of the Maverick?

I’m also curious about the statistics—how many people actually add the 4K package on their AWD models? When I asked ChatGPT, it reported that only 9% to 12% do.

What do you think?
I'd get it. Fot only $750 you get a transmission cooler, heavy duty radiator, trailer braking, 4,000 lbs. towing. You might someday need it or good for resale.

All the more reason not to buy a hybrid! Takes you about ~35k miles to recoup the extra money to get a hybrid AWD in fuel costs anyway.
Well I drive 33k a year so I'm covered :)
Hybrid with outlive the Ecoburst as well.

Good luck outlasting a gas engine with those batteries. Loving the eco boost life so far, I can actually enjoy driving!

The hybrid engine is port injected and not turbocharged so it's going to be much less stressed. There's an argument either way but it's going to take a while to find out
