that was extremely helpful, thank you so muchhttps://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...ike-and-fix-one-of-my-pet-peeves.58921/page-2
Go to this link and read from beginning, got mine done , different size Wipers and hidden down into hood so you do not see wipers from front of truck. 3rd. Page has results pics.
Not to take this thread too far away from its original intent, but keep in mind Amazon will put pressure on a vendor to honor a return even without you paying for shipping (Prime member), so it's not all "bad corporate Amazon".You got it.
I get tired of people saying, Oh Amazon has Deep Pockets they can afford it. When it's actually the small business person who advertises on Amazon who gets hit with returns.
Amazon's business model they keep themselves pretty much isolated from any expenses from returns.
Any luck getting the arms off?that was extremely helpful, thank you so much![]()
As a vendor I dealt with Amazon for 5 of 7 years I was involved with the vinyl graphics company. It wasn't fun. Amazon tends to bully their small vendors. Not to take this thread too far away from its original intent, but keep in mind Amazon will put pressure on a vendor to honor a return even without you paying for shipping (Prime member), so it's not all "bad corporate Amazon".
I tried with the tool but was concerned I was applying too much pressure. After reading and some videos a fair amount of pressure is needed. I haven't had a chance to try again but hoping I will tomorrow if not then TuesdayAny luck getting the arms off?
I suppose it depends on which side of the coin you're on.As a vendor I dealt with Amazon for 5 of 7 years I was involved with the vinyl graphics company. It wasn't fun. Amazon tends to bully their small vendors.
Just an update, mission completed! It did require far more force than I expected but they did pop and I was able to adjust them to the proper position. Thank you to all, especially Glen for the very helpful photosI'm wonder if I'm missing something. I'm trying to remove my wiper arms to reset their home position which I'm guessing was incorrectly set when the windshield was replaced just prior to my purchase. I have removed the cap and nut on both and tried to remove them with mild force and some wiggling but they don't budge. I've applied penetrating spray as well but no luck, so my next step is to buy a removal tool. I just want to confirm I'm not overlooking anything?
