It's definitely an issue for some trim levels. I have a hunch your hybrid XLT is missing this door insulation. My Ecoboost XLT is too. Open your passenger door all the way and you can see your windshield fluid tank!

I've thought of ordering the parts, but it sounds like installation takes some effort.
I looked and saw what you meant. I could see the passenger side had it but the driver side was missing.

I had an oil change scheduled at the dealership and mentioned the missing insulator when I picked up my truck. The service advisor looked and saw it was there just folded over. After adjusting it I drove off to about helicopter whomping noise. I stopped and had to readjust it myself. The whomping noise stopped but the wind noise persists.

There is a significant difference in wind noise in the XL/XLT Trims and the Lariat Trim. I test drove both. The Lariat has an acoustic glass windshield that significantly reduces outside noise. The XL/XLT trims are noticeably louder. If the noise bothers you that much, you can have the acoustic glass windshield from the Lariat installed in the lower Trim models.

I have a 23 XLT and noticed the same problem. I believe it's due to not having any insulation between the wheel well and door. You can look and see for yourself. I'm trying to find a solution.

Pretty sure your driver door pad has dropped down, or fallen forward.
I was able to reach it from the engine bay side and pull it back up to the top, and I think on the correct side of a metal catch to stay there.

That’s what happened. The service manager pulled it up before I left but it made a loud helicopter whomping noise. I had to stop and adjust it so it would stop. As I mentioned, the wind noise persists

2025 Lariat. Also getting some driver's side wind noise, even at low speed. It's especially bad at 65+ MPH.

Going to do the dollar bill test this week and check all the doors for any signs of pinched or damaged seals.

I own a '24 Maverick Hybrid purchased October 2024. I hear a lot of wind noise in the cab while driving on the highway regardless of speed. I contacted the Ford dealership and asked if other Maverick owners had complained of the noise and I was told no. They asked me if it was noticeable. I wouldn't have called to ask if it wasn't. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, how did you get it to stop?
My XLT is pretty much as loud as my Rubicon which is known for being crazy loud. Ford cheaped out on this in lower trims. You could put the music up very loud if the speakers weren't so crappy too. I'm upgrading them which is cheaper than the windshield. 🤷‍♂️

Turning up the radio is what I do now. I upgraded to a full JL Audio sound system. (I posted a video)

I haven't noticed much wind noise, but I've been in 3 heavy rain storms, and the rain hitting the windshield seems MUCH louder than other cars I've been in. One shower was deafening! I have a 2025 XLT, but beginning to wish I'd gotten the Lariat.

My 2025 Lariats ok, id give it a 5/10...maybe 5.5/10, but i think with a bunch of sound deadener in the doors and perhaps roof/A-pillars, I could be very happy with it, maybe getting it to 7/10.

My old one developed some heavy wind noise for some reason. The new one, not so much!

While you're in the doors, add Dynamat, or similar sound deadening material.

I also crammed HVAC lineset foam insulation into the open spaces in my XL's doors, between the doors' hinge area and the engine compartment. Open the hood and you'll see daylight coming through the gaping holes between doors & engine compartment.

Neither of these improvements alone was an earth-shattering difference in lowering road/engine noise. Each one made an incremental improvement. But together, they attenuated the noise a lot.

Changing out the windshield to an acoustic one, IMO, would probably yield less bang for the buck than the two improvements I made.

Any body actually do any sound readings. I mean my Apple Watch has simple sound meter app and when I drive on most roads it is at 65-67 db. On rough aged roads it is in the mid 70’s db at 65-70 mph. This is perfectly acceptable to me on my 2022 maverick xlt

Or live with it. My 2023 XLT isn't the quietest vehicle I've been in but it's a truck!
Mine wasn't as loud as I expected from some posts. Liveable. Not as quiet as my car, but that bothers me more because I expected more.

Others covered what I think are two of the main sources - the black insulation cushions inbetween the the front fender, [both left and right side] and the A pillar below the windshield. And the laminated acoustic windshield.

My Lariat is reasonably quiet at highway speeds. Until I open my sunroof.

You might wait until a rock hits your windshield and then pay the upcharge to have an acoustic windshield installed.

In addition to my previous response, I notice the noise seemingly comes from the area of the window and is more pronounced at 60mph and above. This leads me to believe it is related to the side mirror which is not at all aerodynamic. I have no fix to suggest.

Also, when I added my side turn and marker lights in the Lariat emblem, I had to move the sound cushion out of the way when I drilled the hole for the bulb. I forgot to repositon it properly and noticed more noise. I used something soft, wooden paint stir sticks, and repositioned the cushions and moved them upward. That solved the problem, so see if your sound cushions are as high as they can be in the fender cavity behind the fender emblem. Don't tear the outter black sack. You could also try doubling up on the cushion by purchasing another one for the driver's side to see it it helps, then replicate on the passenger side.
