Just discovered this thread as I'm currently waffling between all three trims.

I really don't want to sacrifice the luxury upgrades with the XLT again and I'm really pissed they took away the rear slider.

I'm thinking Lariat and then just adding some decent all terrains for the few times I might need more grip. I'm afraid I might miss the wildpeak AT3Ws I added to my FX4. Can you put solid all terrains on these 19" rims? I wasn't thrilled about the big wheels, but the styling is much nicer than the blacks on my 23 fx4.

As much as I love the better angles, the orange accents, and the included luxury or the Tremor... I don't love the black interior (certainly not with that blue) and the 2k tow limit. Also don't love the price.

It seems no one mentioned the tow hooks. Does anyone use these? I never came close to that type of scenario and don't intend to with a vehicle like the Maverick (in any trim). I'll be honest, I love these simply aesthetically. I had intended to paint them matching fx4 red on my XLT and I'm bummed I won't have that option on the Lariat.
maybe try trading wheels and tires when selling / trading in your 23?

there are not many all terrain in Maverick sizes for 19" wheels.

Having now owned both an XLT w/ cloth-denim seats, and now a Lariat w/ Active-X, I could go either way. Certainly, Active-X is easier to clean, XLT-cloth is cooler in summer.

As far as ACC, I'm on the fence. Interesting feature, but it operates so seamlessly that I find myself looking down at the speedo to see that I've lost 5-10mph when behind someone.

HRG
Yepper on ACC, the main thing I would like to see/hear is a pop-up on infotainment screen is "Hello Would we like to pass? Press OK Once if you want to at set speed plus up to three more times for each additional 5mph than set speed. 😇. Of course driver could just tap lane change on blinker lever and turn steering to change lane and ACC would increase speed to pass like it works now. We just need popup to tap lane change.

literally the one option, on the tire rack. it's a pretty good tire, but I would go to 17s.
That is my intention. Sell my 19" wheels and tires to fund a lightweight 17" wheel for 235 AT tire.

Might end up having my maverick on blocks because I want to sell them to fund the purchase of the others!

100% agree on the suggestion to go to 17s. Your tire options open up immensely, plus you'll have more sidewall. What's the point of all terrains on 19s if they're as thin as rubber bands? 😄

Yeah, I am considering those Falken trails for the 19s. It's not like they are super low profile, but I completely agree that 17" would be preferred. Too bad I've never loved the FX4 rims. Didn't the Lariat have 18" last time? This is supposed to be a truck. Put the big wheels on the lobo.

At the end of the day my vehicle is a passenger car 99% of the time so I may just try out those Falkens. For a brand I've never heard of I've been really impressed by them. And honestly they have a great warranty and seem a bit more touring focused than the wild peaks.

Part of me wants to go tremor. I do love the exterior styling of the tremor (hate the black on blue interior) and I definitely spend more time on two-tracks than I do towing... but I really don't like being limited by half the towing capacity.

It's funny what y'all said about the adaptive cruise... Like I want the feature but I don't like using it.

As far as I'm concerned if we all had adaptive cruise control everyone would be going 45 on expressways.

One thing I wish my '25 Hybrid AWD Lariat had was the Offroad mode like the mud and ruts from the previous FX4. Not for anything crazy but I'm in rural Northern Michigan, there are a lot of gravel roads, and it's starting to enter mud season.

no, there is only "off road" mode in the 2025, it has replaced both sand and mud/ruts. it's probably more like sand mode but I haven't tried it yet.

I also haven't seen anyone turn on drive modes with a 2025 yet but I assume it can be done.
