Why do people get keyless entry on the door, if you can unlock your door with your phone via app?

I love this feature BUT my focus and edge have in in the door frame and not a plate that is stuck to the body. I use mine all the time.

I only use my phone for remote start. That’s only in the summer for me.

Because some of us grew up in the age where a phone hung on the wall and pulling it off to dial the pass code is not going to happen.

I personally don’t carry my phone around much at all. I would rather use my God given fingers to touch five numbers anywhere, anytime, for any reason and gain access to my truck.

I like it because you can never lock your keys in the car to a point you have to call a locksmith for as well as the app is newer to all that and the keyless entry has been around. As well there are time when you do some activities you want to lock your keys and your phone in the car and with this you can and not worry about it.

The hybrid suffers from a deep sleep problem whereby the vehicle shuts down all non-essential electronics and thereby (lot of "-by" words here) renders the Ford Pass phone app useless.

Because you can't take your phone in the ocean.

MUCH faster....
Yeah that why you never see axe murderers stalking Ford drivers. They won't be fumbling with keys or opening their apps. Beep boop beep and your in. Right where the behind the seat stranglers want you😈

If I want to go to the beach, or hike in the park, I leave phone, keys, all kinds of stuff in the car and lock it. With keypad I can get my stuff when I am ready to leave.
Doesn't a keypad make a vehicle a target for break-in? I mean thieves can expect at a running/hiking trail parking lot that there is stuff to be had if they break into a vehicle with a keypad. Makes a case for the newer less visable keypad or hiding it somewhere.
