So I already have a full size truck. The Mav will suite me just fine.I'm one of the last Boomers, born in '64. Bought a brand new 2000 Mazda B4000 4wd which got HORRIBLE mpg. Traded it ten years later for a used 2004 Element Awd, which got better mpg. (I had been longing for an Element for quite some time and one day I just bit the bullet when I saw the used one for sale) I LOVED my Element!! In 2022 I ordered an XLT Hybrid Maverick with Lux pkg. Which gets excellent mpg. I didn't feel like putting in the $1500-$2000 the Element needed to pass inspection, it was getting pretty rusty up here In NE.This truck is just like when the Honda Element came out. Honda's target audience was young adventurous people. The people buying them ended up being40+ that saw the value and utility of the Element.
Funny, I bought an Element and now replaced an Element with a Maverick.
P.S. I am a BOOMER.
Totally agree, if they would have stopped at the drivers seat and made the rest of the truck a bed. Honda would have made a dent in truck sales! Especially if they would have put their clean diesel in it.I'm one of the last Boomers, born in '64. Bought a brand new 2000 Mazda B4000 4wd which got HORRIBLE mpg. I wish they would come out with a Maverick with extended cab and 6 foot bed! I would love that! I have to travel 1000+ miles to visit my son and his family, and I hate paying for hotel rooms so I try to make a camp setup in my vehicles (made a really cool one in the Element)
Now I'm trying to build a camper for the back of the Mav, which is very challenging with the 4.5 foot bed...
All of us that bought Mavericks! Whether you wanted a hybrid, a small truck with seating for 5, a economical good mileage non hybrid vehicle, 4 wheel drive truck, and the list goes on. Age doesn't matter, price does. Every age group has a use for what the Maverick offers at a price we all can afford at todays market for a new vehicle. I'm 84, and don't want a "Old Mans Car" I wanted a TRUCK!Who is the target market for Ford Maverick?
2022 Ford Maverick is a Big Winner with Millennials and Gen Z, and that's No Cap
I am just curious, how many of us are Millennial or GenZ?
Sir, you are proving my point, the truck is fine just the way it is, we do not need the AC controls on the touch screen, I know it is a wow factor for some, but for those that have bought the truck, it is a detractor on the 2025 models. All of us that bought Mavericks! It’s men who have to get this past a wife first. :’PThe target market is men who want a truck and have nothing to compensate for.
