  1. DIY Cabover Camper

Sorry for the extra long delayed response... I abandoned it for the time being. Too many other more important projects like home repairs. It's still sitting there waiting. I still can't make up my mind if I want to change the design. 🤦‍♀️ I kind of want to make it narrower for better...
  2. OEM tire defects?

Yeah, they suck. I cant push a plug through because it keeps collapsing. I hate the idea wasting money by replacing them with something better, but then, seeing how thin the sidewall is, I have to question how safe these tires are....
  3. What’s the current 17” Hybrid OEM tire from recent production?

My 23 hybrid has the crappy Continental Pro Contact. I picked up a screw. I cant push the plug in because the sidewall keeps collapsing. Then I couldn't take the tire off because I have aftermarket rims and I don't have a deep 13/16ths socket, or a ratchet with a 3/4 drive.
  4. Question--Jump start with Hybrid

Do you know if the jump packs from Harbor Freight are any good? And/or do you have a recommendation for one?
  5. Question--Jump start with Hybrid

Good idea, thanks. I have never had any battery problems with the Mav. "Knock on wood"
  6. Question--Jump start with Hybrid

Thanks! I didn't think I should, but I wanted to get some other opinions.
  7. Inside lights do not ever come on after the truck is turned off

I have a similar problem, except the lights work with the individual switches. They come on after I turn the key off, then fade off in about 5 seconds, but they don't come on when I open the doors. The rocker switch is in the middle position. It's rather irritating to not be able to see when...
  8. Question--Jump start with Hybrid

Hello! First time poster. Can I jump start another car with my hybrid, and how do I do it? Or is it not recommended. The manual only covers jump starting the Maverick. Thanks for your input.🙂
  9. DIY Cabover Camper

I love this! I also built my own side rail tie down things like you did! I just started building one for myself but with an overhang on both sides. I know it will cut way down on the mileage, but it's not really a concern for me (for now). I'm still at a point where I can change the design a...
  10. Who is the target market for Ford Maverick

I'm one of the last Boomers, born in '64. Bought a brand new 2000 Mazda B4000 4wd which got HORRIBLE mpg. Traded it ten years later for a used 2004 Element Awd, which got better mpg. (I had been longing for an Element for quite some time and one day I just bit the bullet when I saw the used one...
  11. Which Shell/ Topper A.R.E MX or V Series?

Looks really nice, BUT... I don't think there is any way to keep water out of the bed. 😔 REALLY POOR DESIGN by Ford. I did my own little water infiltration test. Water will run on the tracks on the roof, down behind the vertical trim, and into the bed. I built my own plywood tonneau cover...
  12. Water infiltrating bed at seam.

I was all excited to build my own plywood tonneau cover and install the BedRug liner only to have to remove it and dry it out. First time was because I didn't get the weatherstripping on before I installed the cover. The second time is because of the leaking seam. We have been getting a lot of...
