In Reference to @Red Eyes - Wide Shut :
I stand corrected as through more research I have found a common misconception I think most people have assumed, also. Apparently even the Toyota Synergy Atkinson's in their hybrids have also used non-hydraulic "shim-in-bucket" lifters. From what I found, this was not to cheap out, but to be more precise in lifter operation while taking advantage of modern metalergy that will not require normal maintenance during the expected long life of the vehicle. I have not seen anything about valve lifter adjustment related to those NYC taxis' that went so many miles. There is no regular maintenance schedule for either Ford or Toyota on this issue. A problem may be noticed through metal on metal tick accompanied by a rough idle and poor performance.
Remember, on the Maverick hybrid the ICE will only operate about half your miles. Currently, I'm around 4300 out of about 9700 miles.

I think they all went into our 2022 Maverick in the last couple weeks!
Been to the dealer 3 times since getting all the software recalls done.
Wish I never did this, was on a great trouble free run for the last couple years.

So, if you have a problem free Maverick you can thank me,
I have them all.......:ROFLMAO:

I have been on this forum since Oct 2021, while waiting for my Maverick to be built. Lately most of the threads now talk about everthing from trading in Mavs, who's building trucks to compete with Mavs, etc. I'm happy that Ford, now has fixed the problems we have brought to there attention, that needed a second evaluation. Again Ford leads the way to bring to market, vehicles that the people want.
I’m a happy owner of a 2023 XLT Mac. Nearly 22K miles later and very happy with my Cyber Orange truck! Best Ford I’ve ever owned.

It's taken 4 years to hopefully sort through the quality issues. Ridiculous.

One item of concern is the cost down the road of maintaining the Hybrid.
One is the Atkinson motor that will require lifter adjustment at some point because the cheap out option was solid lifters. A pricey deal. Reliability is not one of Fords strong suits.

And last over pricing in general, and of optioned vehicles that doesn't really make them better or tougher. But by the comments on here many seem to not mind buying reselling paying more the following year to have bragging rights.....lmao. Money to burn, I guess. We seem to drive the world's economy with consumerism and throw away items.
Sold 8 Hybrids I pre-ordered in 22,23 and 24 made enough to pay for my '25 Hybrid AWD Lariat. Can't really relate to your post ?

Wow, '21. We have come aways. I ordered mine in '22 and spent over a year and a half waiting. Had no issues except I totaled it and then when a new one arrived to a lot in Chicago it stayed there because of a potentially leaking gas tank. I ordered another one and it arrived in short order, don't know what happened to the old one. The only recall I has was a backup camera (even though it never stopped working) and I'm still loving the Mav. Right now it's sitting with big pile of soil/sod mix waiting to be unloaded. Took it up to Wisconsin Thursday and got 41.6 trip mileage (mixed driving) with about 48mpg normal.
I finally jumped on the Mav bandwagon this year. I have been following and wanting one since they came out with the '22 model year. Watched the parade of recalls and issues over that time and when the '25 models were announced it appeared they had addressed most everything that worried me. Jumped in February and have been very pleased with my long awaited purchase. Only one minor recall the rest has been a joy. So far I feel like I dodged a bullet with the '25 and that Ford seemingly fixed the issues. Watching the Mav history has been a lot like playing Whack-A Mole as the issues have popped up. I have no hesitation recommending this vehicle to everyone.
My first new Ford and they have made me proud. This forum has been a huge blessing.

I wanted a pickup but not one of these present behemoths that pass for full size today. The Maverick hybrid caught my eye but I didn't care for the belt and pulley CVT. Then, I found out it was an eCVT and I jumped on it. It's been great and I plan on keeping it for a long time. I'm hoping maintenance in the long term future remains reasonable.

Or people still have problems but they know how to use the search function.
I thinking it far more likely that there are fewer problems than people actually searching for information before posting.

Bought mine in April of this year and there are definitely still issues with the vehicles. Did some research prior of buying mine and hoped not to have any issues. But I was wrong.
This truck - at least mine - is a rattle can with all of the dashboard noises. In addition, I cannot have it parked for 7 days without having it to jump start. Disappointed about these but otherwise a great truck.

We hope your dealer will jump right on it and take care of those problems!

15 dealer visits. Sync 3 still skips listening to bluetooth/carplay/USB. Issue is still there, I just don’t have anything new to complain about.
My Sync 3 drops my calls and hands it back to my cellphone speaker. Very annoying.

Curious though, if they like their mavericks, why are they trading them in? I plan to keep mine 10-15 years as I do with all my vehicles. Trouble free 2023, so far anyway!
Hard to believe isn't it. Everyone on here seems to say that they love their MAV.

24 XLT lux pack co-pilot 360 hybrid tow pack no recalls done could not be happier. Mileage overall in the low 40's 16,000 miles total

Traded away a 24 Lariat Hybrid & later 24 XLT FX4 because of loud and persistent dash and above headliner rattles. I know I took a beating financially. I’m 82 now & interior rattles are just to irritating to put up with.
Maverick is a great concept & I really liked them. Execution was lacking in the ones I got. Assembly was good, quality of materials not so much.
