synthetic blend

According to the manual 2.0 is synthetic blend and hybrid 2.5 is full synthetic
Semi Synthetic is the minimum but not required - synthetic is best

I Run Full synthetic in all my vehicles and run a Motorcraft or Fram Ultra Filter

I also have a video or videos on the ULTRA

99% efficiency at 20 microns

Currently I have about 600 mile on my 2.0. Sometime after 1000 miles, I plan to replace the oil with Mobil 1 full synthetic, advanced or extended performance 5W-30 oil. That's all I run in everything any more, even motorcycles. From then on I'll follow the regular 1 year or 10,000 miles.
Penzoil Platinum Ultra Offers Better protection and seems to be a much better oil

But mobil is good to

To add to this: break-in period recommendations are written by the legal team, not the engineers. New cars do not need to be broken in. You need time to learn how to drive your new car "so take it easy" which is opposite to what an old school engine builder would tell you to "drive it like you stole it". But as coloradoshooter sais technology has come so far with machining specs... There is no need.
Well the Transmission is learning you and it's building a fiel table KEEP ALIVE Memory data base off your driving

Drive it like you normally would....no need to baby it but don't beat it either

These sort of massive-over-thinking-it threads are on every forum.

Drive it. You're not going to hurt the engine (and certainly not the hybrid battery) by just driving it. And you don't need oil changes at 3,000 miles - and for sure not 1,000 miles - this is such antiquated, irrelevant stuff today. The processes and technology and tolerances in manufacturing are so different than back when this sort of information was relevant.
So there is alot to unpack with this statement and tonight I'll create a video for you and this group

It's much much more complicated than you think and I'll explain and give some examples

This is the correct way

1000 miles I'm

Best practice I've seen
The curveball here is what kind of driving you do. I do a lot of stop and go "Dense suburban" type driving. AFAIK this is actually really tough on your engine and is sometimes classified as heavy use. Hence I make 3k oil changes the goal and try not to go over 5k.

One thing I learned the hard way is to check the oil level frequently. My mazda never had a problem then one time it came up low. Still no idea why it decided to use oil but it hasn't done it since. Took two quarts and I took it for an oil change as soon as I could.

Save your energy. I am not interested in hearing your anecdotes or your theories when we have the facts. You seem to be on here for potential self-promotion of a youtube channel? I'm not sure. What I am sure of is that there are several of you on every car forum, all of you say the exact same thing - all of it demonstrably, provably incorrect.

Again. Spare us.

Ok fare enough

Don't forget to not use anything that I helped the group out with I'm not here to argue with you and I'm not here to kiss your ass frankly I could care less if you want to use anything that I have at all but it's better than anything you're going to get

And I would strongly suggest speaking for yourself instead of "us" as a group because you don't speak for everybody else and frankly I don't know anybody else that feels the way you feel and they also can feel free to not use any of my information that I'm willing to help you guys with I'm not here to argue with you I'm here to help people

And yes you are right I am here because it does help my YouTube channel but I'm also here because several of your members pulled me in here so again you're speaking for everybody else because that's the selfish side coming out of you and obviously you have some kind of biased and I'm okay with that but it doesn't mean I have to put up with it

I will need to change the oil after getting home if I follow this guideline. About 90 miles from the dealer. What oil are you going to use?
New cars today are built to closer tolerances. Drive it like you stole it!

The light should come on based off your driving but I error on the side of caution.

Found an escape hybrid oil change video…I hope there is an access panel for the Maverick

Access panels are useless. I have one on my Frontier. Oil changes are messy and you really need to drop the cover. What's the big deal about taking out a few more bolts? Don't use an electric driver. Many people run on high speed and damage threads or run up and over torque and strip out thread's. It's hard to clean all the oil that drips just through an access port. Use hand tools and clean up is easier by taking the whole cover off. Really need to keep it clean and very difficult thru an access cover....believe me.

thanks, I’ve done hundreds of oil changes through access covers and they have worked for me.

This is definitely not the right thing to do. Tear apart the engine and you will have excess wear with a case of sludge
