Just bought a beautiful 2024 XL Maverick with Ecoboost. What recommendations do you have for breaking it in?
Do a lot of different driving, city, hwy, different speeds. Don't drive hard the first 1,000 miles but don't baby it either. Don't use cruise until after 1,000 miles & no towing, then change oil to be sure no metal particles in oil. Small price to break in new engine & transmission.

1k mile break-in, 5kmiles between services(easy to remember at multiple of 5k miles, DO NOT go by what the computerized oil life indicator says

When breaking in an engine you need to vary rpm. Ford already broke in the engine. Don't stay at a continuous rpm for long periods. Don't be afraid to step on it here and there. You need to seat the rings. Change the oil around 1000 miles. Full synthetic. And your good to go. We build engines break them in on a dyno. Change the oil . And do full pulls.
