Build is in my signature. XLT Lux with all the trimmings!

Towing - I am sure I'll be using the tow capability at some point, and consider it a must-have resale feature for the next owner (especially here in MN where towing is common).

FX4 - had the same package on my 2019 Ranger and it was super bumpy (fun for the driver but hell for passengers, my wife hated it!). Complete opposite on the Maverick - suspension is excellent - firm and sporty without being obnoxious at all. Love the wheels and the extra 6.5" screen as well.

360 - I considered it a must-have, had the tech package in my 2019 ranger and although this is missing a few features still worth it to me.

Sunroof - too cold right now but I will enjoy it in the summer!

Heated things - a must have here as well. My wife uses them regularly, I don't as often but appreciate having them. I didn't think I would care for the heated steering wheel but it is spectacular, especially with this exceedingly cold winter this year.

Add-ons:

Truxedo Sentry CT: LOVE IT. Matte canvas still looks like new in what has been a dirty road winter here in MN. I'm not sure how to be honest, as my truck is dirty. It is solid, well built and can support a good amount of weight (grocery bags, gallons of milk, etc - no problem). Keeps the bed secure and is a good fit

Buschur Intake: I like it - makes some cool sounds. It turned very cold here at the same time I received it, so no common yet on performance or efficiency to be made until spring/summer.

Lasfit Turn Signals - absolutely worthwhile upgrade to the DRL/turn signal bulbs. Turn signals are very bright but not obnoxious, and the DRLs look great being all matched.

Rockblokz mudflaps - I like the look, they do a good job, not much more to say?

Other stuff I've done:

Jr Stubby antenna - took this off my Ranger and put in on the Maverick, looks much better.
TuxMats - delivering today!
Front Plate - found (or rather piecemealed) a tow hook/plate solution that works, really like the offset front end placement with no drilled holes in the bumper
Motorola MA1 wireless Android Auto - no complaints, works great after a week of use!

Considering the MRT hood struts and street exhaust at this point, that would be the end of the built-out. Much more than I've ever done with any other vehicle, and I'm really satisfied overall!
Appreciate the extensive reply! How did you land on which intake to get?
Also. I was looking at the fx4 package too. But theres a LOT of crossover with the 4k package. Did you get a discount on having them combined?

I cant get over the interior of this truck. Its so cheap with the hard plastics, but damn if they didnt make they feel and look higher quality than they are. I am beyond happy with it.
You're spot on about the interior! I think it is because it is all thoughtfully designed. They had an aesthetic in mind, and nailed it. When that happens, the materials aren't going to matter because the design is trumping the content. I loved the Honda Element for the same reason - fancy? No. Interesting and well designed? absolutely.

Area 51 Lariat hybrid. No lux package or 360.

Added the weather floor mats, outlet in the cab only, sibl and hitch.

I went with the Lariat primarily for the faux leather seats. Did not want cloth. The lights and wheels were a secondary consideration. The steelies just looked bad unless they were painted black. Or just even had hub caps on them.

The sibl was important as I will have a bunch of heavy metal parts and pieces in the bed being moved from place to place. Like it better than a drop in plastic liner. The mats because also dirty feet are going to be in the regularly with where I take it. The seats are important because I can just wipe them down to clean off dirt. Which I already have done several times in the week or two I've had it.

The hitch was a price I couldn't pass up for factory installed. Had no trailer to haul with it that small. But went out and bought one. Works great for me.
4 pin hitch?
how are you finding the liner holds up to having parts bouncing around back there?

My build is in my signature. I am 2 years away from retirement so I wanted the top trim with the luxury package. I am loving my heated steering wheel and seats this winter! Also a 16 foot Scamp is in our future so I wanted the AWD with the tow package. 😊

As most of us wait, I was curious about your build decisions, why you made them, and if you’re still happy with your decision. Mine’s basic:

XLT
4k towing

thats it lol I liked the value of XLT, need cruise control.
I also need to be able to pull an enclosed trailer with 7 pin connector from time to time.

I chose not to include a few things I need in my build and decided to instal post delivery instead. I did this because i didnt want to finance things like floor mats, etc, and with the new updates on what packages affect delays… i’m quite happy with this decision. Here’s my list of things I’ll be doing as DIY projects after i get my Maverick:

Floor mats
Bed liner
Some sort of speaker upgrade
Heated seats
Leather wrapped steering wheel
and possibly a katskin leather package for the front seats. Haven’t decided on this yet.
And also some kind of 120v inverter. Not certain if i’ll do cab or bed, or what wattage

by doing this it costs me some time doing the projects, but saves thousands of dollars and possibly months of wait time.

Overall i’m happy with my decisions… i just wake up every day wondering if i should have gotten a sunroof haha lemme hear your thoughts on this and yours.

cheers!
Got my Area 51 Lariat FE for less than 36K. I figure why not get all the goodies at one time and I'm certainly happy with my decision. After the cheap decals started to come off I had them all removed. I glad since the FE decals looked and are very cheap.

Lariat Lux hybrid with all-weather mats and mud flaps. My wife has a Subaru Outback with all the safety radar with adaptive cruise control, and it is outstanding. Keyless/push-button is also nice. The gas mileage will be great! I am over 60 now. So, anything to make life easier. Having a truck is a must for any do-it-yourselfer! My build is scheduled for April. I ordered in July. I switched in November from Cyber Orange to Velocity Blue. I saw the colors on cars in the Ford lot and got sucked in by the Blue.

I went with the Cyber Orange XLT, with 4K and FX4 and full sized spare. I got both the 4K and FX4 because I expect to be doing some light off roading in the coming years, (developing property to live on), and will need to haul in those same areas. I kept everything else pretty basic to keep cost down. I can always add a tonneau cover or a bedliner.

I ordered:
Hybrid: fuel economy but able pick up stuff from Home Depot or Ikea without needing to borrow a truck
XLT: for cruise control, power tailgate lock, power mirrors, keyless entry, bed cubby, orange accents, and the wheels (the upgrade from XL was a great value in my opinion)
Co-Pilot360: for the extra safety features and the full-size spare
Soft Folding Tonneau: I should have left this off and got it done at the dealer
Spray-in Bedliner: I should have left this off and got it done at the dealer
Manual Rear Sliding Window: I have a feeling I'm rarely going to use this
4-pin Trailer Hitch: $100!?! no brainer
100V/400W Outlet: Hoping to use this to add an outlet to the bed

I should have added the power moonroof for the kids

Things I would have paid for if not tied to particular packages:
XLT Luxury package without the heated seats, mirrors, steering wheel and windshield de-icer (I live in Florida...)
B&O Sound System without needing the Lariat Luxury package
Power sliding rear window without upgrading to the Lariat
Hybrid AWD:(

I think you can get someone to instal a katskin leather package, and an upgraded stereo for half the price of what youd pay to upgrade to lariat lux. Thanks for replying!

My build is a college graduation present for my daughter. So it's focused on what she wanted for her first new vehicle:

Hybrid (gas mileage)
XLT (Cruise control)
Lux (Heated Seats)
360 (My call, because she drives a little too much like her mother)
Cyber Orange (She likes the color of my Orange Fury Mustang)

At this point, I hope the '11 Mazda CX-7 she's driving will keep chugging along until the thing gets built.

If I was building one for myself, it'd be an EcoBoost Lariat Lux with 4K and FX4. Maybe that'll happen in a couple of years.

XLT - for the cruise control, otherwise it would have been the XL.

Velocity blue - because it almost matches the blue on our motor home.

2.0 EB - because we missed ordering the hybrid by a couple of weeks.

Trailer hitch - no specific reason other than just in case and it a lot cheaper than adding later.

Do we have to have it? Not really so if it doesn’t make it before we leave, the dealer will have it. Then we will order the hybrid next summer in hopes that it makes delivery before we leave for Alaska the summer of 2023.
