As most of us wait, I was curious about your build decisions, why you made them, and if you’re still happy with your decision. Mine’s basic:

XLT
4k towing

thats it lol I liked the value of XLT, need cruise control.
I also need to be able to pull an enclosed trailer with 7 pin connector from time to time.

I chose not to include a few things I need in my build and decided to instal post delivery instead. I did this because i didnt want to finance things like floor mats, etc, and with the new updates on what packages affect delays… i’m quite happy with this decision. Here’s my list of things I’ll be doing as DIY projects after i get my Maverick:

Floor mats
Bed liner
Some sort of speaker upgrade
Heated seats
Leather wrapped steering wheel
and possibly a katskin leather package for the front seats. Haven’t decided on this yet.
And also some kind of 120v inverter. Not certain if i’ll do cab or bed, or what wattage

by doing this it costs me some time doing the projects, but saves thousands of dollars and possibly months of wait time.

Overall i’m happy with my decisions… i just wake up every day wondering if i should have gotten a sunroof haha lemme hear your thoughts on this and yours.

cheers!

Mine's in my sig. XLT for cruise control. I make very long drives about once a month and it makes it less stressful. I wanted awd and towing with a bit of off road capability in case of really bad weather. Moon roof for ventilation on hot days. 360 for a bit of extra safety.

I didn't want or need the lariat or lux pack items. IMO it's just a lot of gadgets I can live without that are expensive to fix if they break. I actually prefer manual seat controls.

Cactus gray xlt with xlt lux package, moon roof, carpet and plastic mats. Wife wanted the two wheel drive because she doesn't do truck stuff. she just likes trucks. So the plan is to stance it like 2000s lighting but with the import vibe. NOT RICER. i mean its barely 4'' longer then a Honda accord and it has turbo four banger. so were going sport truck meets Tuner car!

XLT- the lariat interior is ugly to me and was a bit out of budget.
After getting my Mav, I added the Maverick floor mats, tailgate assist, front splash guards, rear seat cover, SIBL, tonneau, and waiting on the Maverick sunshade. I want the door sill plates too!

  • EB + AWD to do everything our electric hatchback can't
  • XLT Lux because wife wanted heated seats
  • CP360 because safety features
  • FX4 because seemed like fun
  • Rear window + full size spare because potentially useful things for not much money
  • Iconic Silver because discrete and classy

Build is in my signature. XLT Lux with all the trimmings!

Towing - I am sure I'll be using the tow capability at some point, and consider it a must-have resale feature for the next owner (especially here in MN where towing is common).

FX4 - had the same package on my 2019 Ranger and it was super bumpy (fun for the driver but hell for passengers, my wife hated it!). Complete opposite on the Maverick - suspension is excellent - firm and sporty without being obnoxious at all. Love the wheels and the extra 6.5" screen as well.

360 - I considered it a must-have, had the tech package in my 2019 ranger and although this is missing a few features still worth it to me.

Sunroof - too cold right now but I will enjoy it in the summer!

Heated things - a must have here as well. My wife uses them regularly, I don't as often but appreciate having them. I didn't think I would care for the heated steering wheel but it is spectacular, especially with this exceedingly cold winter this year.

Add-ons:

Truxedo Sentry CT: LOVE IT. Matte canvas still looks like new in what has been a dirty road winter here in MN. I'm not sure how to be honest, as my truck is dirty. It is solid, well built and can support a good amount of weight (grocery bags, gallons of milk, etc - no problem). Keeps the bed secure and is a good fit

Buschur Intake: I like it - makes some cool sounds. It turned very cold here at the same time I received it, so no common yet on performance or efficiency to be made until spring/summer.

Lasfit Turn Signals - absolutely worthwhile upgrade to the DRL/turn signal bulbs. Turn signals are very bright but not obnoxious, and the DRLs look great being all matched.

Rockblokz mudflaps - I like the look, they do a good job, not much more to say?

Other stuff I've done:

Jr Stubby antenna - took this off my Ranger and put in on the Maverick, looks much better.
TuxMats - delivering today!
Front Plate - found (or rather piecemealed) a tow hook/plate solution that works, really like the offset front end placement with no drilled holes in the bumper
Motorola MA1 wireless Android Auto - no complaints, works great after a week of use!

Considering the MRT hood struts and street exhaust at this point, that would be the end of the built-out. Much more than I've ever done with any other vehicle, and I'm really satisfied overall!

Ordered XLT (cruse control) with lux because the package had things I knew I would need for a good price. I wanted the in bed inverter, extra tie-down points and rails, tow hitch, and bed-liner. Getting the heated seats, steering wheel and heated wiper blades was nice too.

Area 51 Lariat hybrid. No lux package or 360.

Added the weather floor mats, outlet in the cab only, sibl and hitch.

I went with the Lariat primarily for the faux leather seats. Did not want cloth. The lights and wheels were a secondary consideration. The steelies just looked bad unless they were painted black. Or just even had hub caps on them.

The sibl was important as I will have a bunch of heavy metal parts and pieces in the bed being moved from place to place. Like it better than a drop in plastic liner. The mats because also dirty feet are going to be in the regularly with where I take it. The seats are important because I can just wipe them down to clean off dirt. Which I already have done several times in the week or two I've had it.

The hitch was a price I couldn't pass up for factory installed. Had no trailer to haul with it that small. But went out and bought one. Works great for me.

I cant get over the interior of this truck. Its so cheap with the hard plastics, but damn if they didnt make they feel and look higher quality than they are. I am beyond happy with it.

I chose the XLT since I like the interior colour scheme. I dont plan on towing much, but thought it would be good for resale value when it comes to that.

Overall, its the look of the truck i was going for. And this nailed it.
