Got hit by hail last night. Ended up with about 2 inches on the ground. Quarter or ping pong sized. Only had it for 5 weeks so far. Now, can we find parts. No sense getting it fixed, another round coming over the next 12 hours.

So sorry to see this. Just thinking out loud, but with today's technology one would think there's a shell-like cover that would prevent or minimize the damage from hail. Obviously, storing it in a garage, but not everyone can do that. Again, sorry to see that happen to your vehicle.

Several years ago my wife got stuck on the interstate in her Lexus with a big Oklahoma hail deluge. Pretty dinged up. PDR removed 100% and no evidence remained. and 100% insurance-covered.

Did your other truck, over to the side in the 1st photo, sustain the same kind of damage - or any at all? Curious if this is tied back to quality of build - due to an inexpensive go to market strategy

The dings weren't as deep as the maverick but that truck is a 2003 Ram 2500 so it's made to be a little more heavy. And now rhat I think of it, when I bought it new it was not as expensive 🙄

I would have a coronary if this happened to me, luckily I live in an area that has had nothing larger than pea size hail in the last 50 years, still I always have my vehicles in a garage especially when foul weather is predicted, with weather change I suspect we will get a storm like this in the future.

So sorry for this, keep us posted on how insurance handles this and the house. A while back to keep costs down changed my deductible to 5% of the value, so would be totally screwed on the 15k house damage,

That is what we have insurance for. I went through it and got a new roof, sliding, gutters, paint. Looked great when they were All done. Get multiple inspections and quotes. Also you can upgrade roof material, siding, insulation for cheaper at this time. Blessing in disguise 🥸. I also sneaked out of the 1,000 deductible and made out with a check for a little money.

I really feel for you nobody wants a repainted vehicle but what choice do you have, the worst part is the roof, fenders and hood are bolt on easy repair the roof is a project, interior has to come out and lots of welding. I worked for a insurance company after I retired for a while and we had a hail storm about 10 years ago for weeks we sat in parking lots of big companies, malls, hospitals estimating damage on 1000's of cars. wish I had a dollar for every hood, trunk, windshield I paid for, I tried to repair as many roofs as posable but some were so bad they had to be replaced. the body shops were booming, the pdr guy were busy for a year. If weather says hail and you don't have a garage throw a comforter and some cardboard over the roof and tie it down you might save it. fenders, hoods, trunks and glass easily replaced.

Unfortunately my deductible is a percentage of my homes value so I'm getting it up the a** so I'm going to get everything fixed that I possibly can!
