What is the record wait for a Maverick?

I have been waiting for a vin number since the second week of November 2021 and I was wondering what the is the longest time from ordering to delivery of a Maverick. I’m starting to believe that I have a shot at the longest wait for a Ford vehicle.

I have been waiting for a vin number since the second week of November 2021 and I was wondering what the is the longest time from ordering to delivery of a Maverick. I’m starting to believe that I have a shot at the longest wait for a Ford vehicle.

Lol, I waited 520 days (Oct 24th, 2021 order) to get a call from my shady dealership yesterday telling me they sold it to someone else. It was agreed upon that I was going to pick it up on Saturday, April 1st since that was my first day off work in 17 days. Just made a long post about it if you want all the details.

Well my wait was 531 days. Order date to delivery. And, I got everything I ordered. No deletes.

Result: 564 days

How you contacted your dealer?
I ordered on the same day as you, and from Nov 22 to end of Feb 23, I didn’t receive any emails from Ford or any info from my dealership. When I contacted my salesperson to find out WTH was going on, she informed me that my truck was in transport. I took possession three weeks ago.

I had contacted my dealership right before the post and she said that there was no news from Ford. I contacted Ford to do nothing more than complain and when I did the representative said that they had a VIN and my build date was week of May 16th. Hallelujah!!!!

I'd make it clear to your dealer that there's a VIN and you are fully expecting the truck to come in to the dealership for you to purchase. There have been horror stories of dealerships being unscrupulous and lying to their retail orderers about not having any info and then selling their truck out from under them and playing dumb.

I could argue that I've waited for my Maverick for about 11 years. Because 2012 is when my Ranger started to feel old, and I looked around in despair asking "where's my modern small truck?". And Ford said "Go buy an F150". And when that didn't work they said "Go buy the new Ranger". And when that didn't work, I guess they gave up and designed the Maverick.
